We are staying at the Dolphin for 5 days then the BC for 4 days and I was wondering if there is someplace nearby to buy alot of bottled water, preferably by the case. If we pay 2.50$ per bottle at the parks, water alone will cost us an extra $200-$300 for our trip. (yes, we drink that much water) We are not renting a car, so going off the property is not really a option.

Welcome to DIS!!!

I've found that a Brita bottle saves a ton of money. You can get them at Target, Kohl's, etc. and they're on about $6.99 each. Then, each morning before I leave the hotel, I fill them up with ice and a little water. During the course of the day they can be filled at any water fountain since they're filtered.

Thought it might be an option!!! :bounce:

If you use a $89. Towncar service From the Airport to WDW they offer a 1/2 hour grocery stop.then you can stock up on water, soda, and breakfast items to eat each morning in the room saving you a ton on Breakfast!!

Travelin Tigger....I had heard about the Brita bottles with the filter and am thinking about getting a couple. Have you actually used them and does the water taste good? I know the fountain water can be awful. We are going in 5 weeks. Thanks....

I've used them on every trip and the water tastes just like, well...water (LOL). Actually it tastes fine. I even use them at home and our water isn't bad at all!!!

I too can vouche for the Brita bottles. We used them on our last trip and it made the Orlando water drinkable.

another vote for the brita bottle.....used it this past august and it works out great and then you can drink as much as you want all day long. The filtering works good and takes care of the taste, etc....

There is a bottle by thermos (nissan) that keeps water and ice for 6-12 hours. It's great for keeping cold water. The brita bottles are a little easier and cheaper, but if you want to keep the ice, the nissan thermos sports bottles are great.

I found an on line source to buy the water filter bottles. The usual stores to check here (Walmart, Target, etc.) don't seem to have the Rubbermaid brand, only Brita.

These may be the same as the Rubbermaid bottles. Does anyone know?

My trip with DH is the first week of Nov, staying at the Poly. Can't wait! It has been eight long years since our last visit. We were at POFQ and loved it.

I have a Brita and they are great. I got an insulated bag bottle holder and filled the bottle with ice and water from the soda fountain at our resort and it stayed nice and cold for the time I was in the park. The thermal bottle holder kept the bottle from sweating on my clothing. I wouldn't bother to buy water at DW again. It gets warm too quick.

Our last two stays, at the Swan, we got water from the Club Lounge. If you are staying on the Club floor or have access to the Club floor, they will give you anything thay have. We'd take a 1/2 dozen bottles of water, fruit, snack bars. I wish I could remember the lady who runs the Club Lounge, we just called he Mom, but she is excellent. This is just one of the Club level perks which I do at all the Starwood properties. Have fun!
