How early is early to book a cruise? How for in advance are dates and prices posted? I am thinking of an August, 2007 cruise. It seems so far away, but I from what I have read early bookings save money. Are there also last minute deals? Which provides the better deal - early booking or last minute?

Also, I am confused on the child's pricing. What would, say a cat 10, cost for a family of 4 - 2 adults, 2 kids (cruise only - no air or WDW resort/tickets).

Early booking is best. Prices generally come out about 14-18 months prior. Some TA gives credits and rebates, like the sponsors here.

The price for a child depends on the age and the number of passengers. The first two passengers in any room pays full price regardless of age. After the third and fourth passenger price will vary based on age.

Most folks will recommend booking early. I would suggest you go to the DCL web site and try to see what the price would be for the a cruise say Aug 2006 right now. This will give a sense of price. Just remember that price will vary based on time of the year, and also how far in advance do you book.

In the meantime, ask away any other questions that you may have,.

Yes, also Dreams Unlimited (click on top) have a lot of pricing listed..You could get a general idea of the prices..

It is best to book as soon as that pricing becomes available..The price does go up and up...allseastravel.com also has pricing showing for next year, to give you the same general idea...

THere are RARELY any last minute deals. Florida residents may get this..As the previous poster said, pricing really varies depending on time of year. Summer tends to be much more expensive...
