Hi, We are going soon, and I have some general questions. We are staying at Hotel Royal Plaza (4 nights--$217.43 Tax included--booked through Travelzoo, $7.00/day resort fee waived, free upgrade to Deluxe Tower, $65 a night with 4th night free) and feel we are getting quite a bargin. Never been to DTD before, I was wondering how close the HRP is to where the boats launch to go to Port Orleans-Riverside. That is where the rest of daughters team is staying (at $144 a night hehehe), and would like to visit them. Will we have any problems getting onto property via boat, if we aren't actually guest of POR? And the walk to HRP, a long one?
Also, question for a friend that is staying at POR, will they have problems getting a smoking room that has the trundle bed? Are the trundles in all rooms, or select few? How many smoking rooms do they have?
One final question, Is the HRP considered a "Disney" hotel? I know it's one of the DTD one's, but can you still say you are staying at a "Disney" one? If so, do you still have to pay for parking at the parks if you are a guest of HRP?
