General questions

I went to SeaWorld in Dec 06 and while exploring the site today I have made some discoveries that have caused questions. It said have an autograph book ready for Shamu and crew near the entrance form 9-12. Does anyone have any pictures of these characters or at least how many and who are they? Has anyone done the Luau? How do I get to do this event? Is there still a water ski show or is that gone. It was only seasonal (out of season!!) for my last visit. How far out is the schedule? I see only February is available with times but how far out do they post these? I can't believe I have so many questions for someone who has been there before. Any help would be great.

I didn't notice any characters on our way in, either. Not one.

I think you can simply make reservations for the Luau. Maybe someone whose been there can give you more details than I can.

My dad was disappointed that the water ski show had been taken away as well. Maybe we were just there off-season?

During my 3-day visit, there was a Shamu costumed charater just inside the entrance each morning. One day he was joined by another sea otter character. There was a line cordened off, and there was a photographer. It seemed rather established, like they do it every day.

Yes, Sea World has characters. Shamu is usually at front gate (entrance) during the morning hours. Various other characters usually appear in Happy harbor (Children's area) between 1-4 ish. There are about 14 different characters (They all do not appear everyday).

The most recent "ski" showed ended in the fall of 06 (I think). Elmo and gang were in that stadium last year. Elmo is coming back this spring.
