General question about your stay using DVC.

My only experience with disney resorts has been two consecutive stays at Port Orleans Riverside.

Now that I own points at BWV, I was hoping someone could help with a question or two I had.

Is your room key still a "key to the kingdom" key? Meaning: can you still use it as your park admission and use it as a charge card?

I understand that you may use Disney's magical express and purchase Disney's Dining Plan, but does a villa resort like BWV have room service?

Yes, your room key is still used as a 'charge card' in the resort. BWV also does have room service, not sure about the others, but IIRC, OKW does not have any room service except to order pizza.

I think VWL, BCV and BWV have room service, OKW has pizza delivery from Sassagoula Pizza at Port Orleans. SSR might be able to order the pizza, too..I'm not sure. I know SSR doesn't have any "regular" room service.
