General park hours question

Hi, my family will be returning for our third trip in late January. Previously went in 2014, and 2015. What I'm noticing is for all of our dates , Jan 19 to Feb 3rd, magic Kingdom is never open past 8pm (one day has extra magic hour till 9). I understand it's slow season, but this certainly wasn't the case our last two trips(same weeks each time) On multiple occasions my wife and I left the kids at the hotel with the grand parents and went to the magic Kingdom till 12 or 1 am (Fridays and Saturdays mostly) My wife seems to recall that they changed park hours on the fly as we got our weekly park calendars, but I can't recall. Anyone have any insight? Is mk really closing at 8 every day, because if so, that's very disappointing.

Sorry to piggy back on your post, but how did you see park hours so far in advance? Is there a way to see park hours for April?

Thanks! Is this pretty routine? Does epcot ever do for the world showcase? Getting to escape the kiddies and hang out in the parks as an adult was very fun for us.

EP closes at 9 pm all year long except during the weeks from Thanksgiving to New Years when it closes at 9:30 due to the Candlelight Processional.
