Any and all help would be appreciated. TIA! :flower:

1) I read on someone's post the cost. Does that mean you actually have to pay for the meals?

2) I really don't understand the dining plan. So we will be staying 6 nights, 7 days. Will I have enough credits or whatever to eat at these restaurants or will I have to pay?
POP breakfast x5, POP dinner x1, CP breakfast x1, Main St Bakery Breakfast x1, 50's PT lunch x1, Tangerine Cafe lunch x1, LeCellier lunch x1, Kona Cafe/Ohana's lunch (are they open for lunch?) x1, Teppanyaki lunch x1, Casey Corner lunch x1, CM dinner x1, Rose and Crown dinner x1, Akershus dinner x1, WCC dinner x1, Boma dinner x1, plus snacks?

Sorry...still learning!

With the dining plan you get 1 TS, 1 CS, 1 snack per night of your stay for each person on the dining plan.

This would mean you get a total of 6 TS, 6 CS, 6 snacks each for your stay.

You pay for the dining plan when you pay for your vacation package. After that you don't pay anything as long as you get what you are supposed to get with that meal. It very easy. Just tell your server you have the dining plan before ordering.

You will have to pay for the meal plan, but once that's paid for you're done unless you chose to pay for something out of pocket or go over your credits.

You will get the same number or credits as you have nights in your hotel, for 56 nights each person gets 6 Table Service meals and 6 counter service meals and snacks.

Unless you share meals you won't be able to get breakfast and lunch daily at counter service on the plan.

Does that clear anything up for you?

In your list you have more table service meals that you are covered for, the plan will only cover 6 per person unless you share at non buffet/all you can eat places.

You also have too many counter service meals unless you're sharing.

Don't forget you get an appetizer, entree and desert at each sit down.

Answers

1. No. If you're on the plan it's a flat $35 a day (adults) $10 (kids)
It covers 1 sit down (appetizer, entree, desert, softdrink) or 1 buffet and drink.
It also covers 1 counter meal (combo+desert+drink) or (Item+side+desert+drink) It also covers 1 snack item
It covers all taxes plus tips for any of the things above.

You do not pay the menu price of the food unless you add something on or get alcohol. That comes out of pocket.

2. for 6 nights you'd get 6 sit downs, plus 6 counters plus a snack for each person in your Disney Resort room.

Your choices came to

Pop Breakfast x 5
5 counters
pop dinner x 1
1 counter
cp breakfast x 1
1 sit down
Main st. Bakeryx1
1 counter (I don't think some of the heftier items count as snacks here)
50's pt lunch x 1
1 sit down
Le Cellier, Lunch x1
1 sit down
Tangeriene x 1
1 counter
Kona
1 sit down
Teppenyaki
1 sit down
Casey
1 counter
cm
1 sit down
Rose and crown
1 sit down
Akershus
1 sit down
Boma
1 sit down
WCC
1 sit down

I have 11 sit downs counted and 8 counters. zero snacks.
Snacks are things like mickey bars, bottles of water, fruit, and the like.

Assuming everyone in your party goes to every thing, you would have to pay out of pocket for 5 sit downs and 2counters

Note that you can start using your credits when you check in and must use them up by midnight upon the day of check out.
Disney puts em by night rather than day thinking you'll likely use a sit down up on your day in and the counter up on your day out or the reverse.

Thanks for all of the help!!!!!

Cannot_Wait_4Disney: What an informative post...we've not planned our snack options yet. Thanks for the help...I am going to print this post out as a reminder!

califred: You can really get an appetizer and a dessert on the plan, too? Whoa! Very informative, thank you!! What about CS? Main dish/side dish/drinks?

abk98: Thanks for the tips and the informative post!

CS meals include entree, beverage, and dessert.

Read this for all the info on the plan:

http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...gespecific/eng/nontheme/tickets/MYWDining.pdf

And here are all of the menus from each restaurant:
http://allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm

The plan gives each of the people in your party the following for every day you are there:

A Sit Down Meal (Table Service/TS), which includes an appetizer, main course, dessert and drink

A Counter Service (CS) which includes meal, dessert and drink

A snack which could be a Mickey Mouse Ice cream, a soda, cookie, etc.

It is flexible so that you can use all CS one day and all TS on another day, etc.

!

Posts often list the price of what the meal would have cost to compare against the dining plan price and to show how much was saved or what they would have spent.

TigerCheer -

Just an FYI that most people I know can't handle 3 huge meals per day at WDW. Each meal comes with a lot of food as is likely to fill you up more than you expect, in addition to taking time out of your day. I'd schedule two meals a day, one counter service and one sit-down and just snack otherwise. I think you'll be surprised at how much this will fill you up, especially since you get appetizers and/or desserts included.

With the 2 meals per day idea of teh Dining plan, it helped to beat the long waits at normal meal times. So it was an added bonus. example...We had CRT lunch at 240pm the rode rides while everyone was at dinner then enjoyed a CS dinner at the food court about 10 30 pm
