General consensus on Memory Maker?

Do we pay for MM just once for the entire trip or do we have to pay for each day

The price that you pay (currently $169 if purchased at least 3 days in advance) is for your whole trip. It will keep track of any of the photos/videos during your travel dates. I don't recall seeing any photographers at Downtown Disney.

We tried it for the first time on our last trip and it worked out really well. We didn't have to worry about whether to buy the ride photos when our family was split into different groups (such as Buzz Lightyear, Space Mountain), we just got them all!

When we were there in Oct they were offering a one day deal for mnsshp

We don't buy it - we scan our bands and make a photo book for $80

I've heard from someone who went recently that they got a one-day Memory Maker for $42 at Magic Kingdom. Apparently it is in the testing phase, so it's not being publicized yet, but it might be worth asking for it when you get there!

I'm going to call Disney today and see if they can tell me anything about this...wondering if I can buy it for 3 separate days then it would only cost us $126 ;) I'll update when I find out.

Ok so talking to the rep apparently it was just a pilot test for the $42 a day in October and it's not readily available at this time. However, she did say that this could change from now until our trip so to keep our ears open.

Don't mean to high jack OP's post but I have a few questions.

We're going to WDW 2/20-2/27...we'll be at the parks 21st, 23rd & 25th. Do we pay for MM just once for the entire trip or do we have to pay for each day? I can't seem to find this answer anywhere :confused3

First off for me, I've never been to WDW or DL.

With that being said. Memory maker for me it totally worth the money. Regular price is $199; advance purchase (3 or more days in advance of your trip) is $169.

The amount is for your entire trip. Each photo costs upwards of $10-15; 17 photos and its paid for itself.

I will always pay in advance for this. My first trip is just me and soon to be hubby. The next one planned is for my oldest daughter and 2 grandboys.

I lose things very easily - phone, blue tooth, car keys, bank card... you name it if I don't put it back exactly where it belongs its gone forever. So the MM for me means not having to take my phone out to get a picture of us and then having to remember to put it back LOL.

It also means I can be a photo hog - which I love to be. You can download all the original photos and then go back to the MM website and play with their editing options... you can add words borders fireworks etc. You can ask each photographer for magic shots (ones with characters), plus all the ride photos and videos, plus any that are included with meals.

One other thing... if you don't want to pay for the MM package as a whole... ask around for a Memory Maker share for the time frame you are going.
Pro - its cheaper to get all the photos you want.
Con - you have to surf through ALL the other photos of families that shared as well.

Hope this helps!

In september, we ran into 7 photographers in DTD - one in the christmas store, and several just milling around - one of them was by the lady and the tramp topiary.

Didn't know abotu the studio - that would have been nice

We bought it and had a 5 day in park trip - TOTALLY worth it becuase ususally IM the one behind the camera and it was nice to actually be in the photos.

As for meals - at 1900 park fare - there was a photogapher OUTSIDE the meal, but you used your own camera for when the characters came around.

Even if you are taking a short trip, and you plan to see alot of characters, ge tit! SUPER WORTH IT!

For most character meals, there will be a photo taken before you go in by a photo pass photographer, but once you are in the dr restaurant, you're re on your Own. Characters inside don't have PP photographers with them.

I haven't had much time to keep up with the boards. What's the general consensus on the Memory Maker- yeah or nay?

We really enjoy it, but this last trip it was just not worth the cost for the short trip, instead I am making a photobook with most of the pictures for half the cost.

How would one go about doing this? I did some searching online but I'm not finding anything more then discussions about.
