Has anyone been been on the Disney cruise website, looks all new and much better to navigate. I am going to phone up in abit and rebook my cruise with a hotel package.

DD is not home till after teatime, feels rather strange her not here, I have been getting used to her being around with it being the school holidays, once she is back at school I have two weeks till I go back to uni, don't know what I am going to do with myself.

OMG I hope so, Claire!!! Of course there's always the chance that the building work will turn us into a couple of worn out, stressed out zombies!!!

Yes, I was on there yesterday reviewing our upcoming cruise - it's much less clunky now...

Morning all, its been an emotional day so far. My little girl has started school and my oldest boy has moved to secondary. They were fine its me that was upset.

When the 2 boys started school it wasn't as bad as I had another baby at home. But Ebony is my last so feels strange, even though she has been going to nursery for 2 years, it feels like my baby has gone.

Not best pleased right now as have been expecting a surveyor since 10am and still no sign. Think it's fair to say he's not coming and think it's rather crappy that he didn't let me know... Especially after I'd paid up front!!! Have sent a terse email so will see what response I get...

I haven't been up to much this morning.....apart from crying as a huge spider ran at me when I was sorting some washing out!

I absolutely hate them & this thing was huge! I rang my hubby and just cried down the phone...he thought something serious had happened. So the house is a mess - clothes all over the floor, the dogs beds pulled out & the hoover on standby incase it rears its ugly head before hubby gets in later.

How pathetic I am!???? I can deal with little ones but not this mahooousive one!

Nah, I'm just the same!!! I dread being home alone in case there's an 'incident' - especially this time of year. I have a can of spray (I hate using it but needs must sometimes) that DH got me from Robert Dyas and that does the trick as I can't even do the vacuuming thing - I hate making contact in any way... i can handle spiders, it mice i can't cope with. My cat brought on eto the back door this morning and by the time my neighbour came to move it, most of it was gone. So cats not getting in now as she will be sick.

Thanks for everyones wishes over Ebony starting school. She is home now and has had a ball. Apparently she won a game of bingo. She's really lucky, only 3 in P1 and 6 in her class all together.

I know she will always be my baby but she just seems to have grown up so much this summer. DH keeps saying that we should have another baby but I feel like my family is complete, but at times like these it makes me rethink ( but not for long )

It wasn't to bad last night, dispatch left us alone from 3am till the end of our shift at 7.30am so it must have been a quiet one for them

This was a huge one!

Believe me Karen the hoover thing was very brave for me, but I had no choice. I pulled the attachment out so it was about 6 foot away from me, I think I may have got it but am not brave enough to go anywhere near it to look in the clear cylinder....i'll get Lee to empty it when he gets in.

Usually if I am home alone & I see a small ones I get the dogs to eat them. Not anymore after Bailey spat a half chewed one on my leg the other week.

Boy did I scream!

Finally had a reply from the bloody surveyor man - tho' I rather wonder if I would have heard anything if I hadn't emailed first...

Anyway, "what was his excuse?" I hear you cry...

Answer - he didn't have the appointment as 'confirmed' in his diary!!! Er... excuse me??? So that's despite me returning the form and paying the beepin' fee upfront???

Furthermore, he claims he tried calling but somehow the phone number he had was one digit out. So why not email me to check then? Tho' TBH I don't understand how the number could be incorrect as the architect gave it to him and I know they have the right one...

What a @?£%*&^$ (insert expletive of your own choosing)!!!

I'd tell him where to go but (1) I've already paid; (2) he's recommended by the architect; (3) I don't know how long it would take me to rearrange with an alternative surveyor... SO it's take 2 on Monday morning...
