Hello everyone! Feeling a bit spaced this morning as I didn't sleep terribly well but I'm hoping a second cup of coffee will jumpstart my day... :coffee: ;) :cool2:

Hope you had a lovely shopping trip, did you hit the Pandora store, I wonder?
Haven't been to Bluewater in ages, Richard is off next friday and we are also going suit shopping at Bluewater for him whilst the girls stay with my Mum for a few days.

I'm glad it's lasted into the afternoon Nat:thumbsup2

Afternoon all,

We've had a lazy morning, played lego and watched Lady and the Tramp:goodvibes
Anna has gone to the local Tennis club for her afternoon session, I'm trying to get Poppy to play outside but she doesn't like the guy that weeds the garden, at about 6ft 5in I suppose to her he's as big as Hagrid!
We had left over lamb for dinner so it's a jacket potato for us for tea.
Richard is out the next two nights so I might watch Mamma Mia as I've never seen the film version - yes! I know, I must be the last person in the UK to watch it.
The house is like a huge toy room, so off to tidy up with Pops.
Have a lovely afternoon everybody:thumbsup2

I have never seen Mama Mia,

I am just looking at booking the Polynesian as 2010 prices are up on Disney.com, it is not expensive as I expected for 4 nights and a 1 day ticket. I am going to book with Disney.com so I can get free dining when it is out as you have to book 5 nghts with Disney UK. It helps planning next years holiday as I would of been going in 4 weeks so planning a bigger and better holiday for next year.

I'm feeling a bit odd today. 2 days since we got home and DH's first day back at work. My body clock is all out of sync. I've just about stopped bursting into tears at random (post holiday blues + jetlag I think), my sleeping patterns are a bit better but I'm still getting hungry on Florida time LOL!

I've started thinking about next year's holiday too - it'll probably be a Centerparcs in Holland.

I have looked at centre parc as I think my DD would love it however she hates car journeys and we'd have to drive there.

Funnily enough we're choosing it because we CAN drive there. My DD hates flying (I didn't realise how much it played on her mind until this holiday when she refused to eat for 24 hours before each flight and went to the loo about 6 times in the hour before boarding - she's not afraid of the flight but of being sick or using the toilets.) She's not too happy on ferries either since crossing the North sea in force 8 winds, so at least we can use Eurotunnel if we go to Holland.

I can totally sympathise with your dd Libby, i feel the same about flying and rarely eat before or during a flight, dh thinks its great ...he eats all my food !

My DD is sick on every flight during take off and after landing, even on a short flight to Paris. She hates long car journeys though.

We are off to Center Parcs in Holland at the end of the month for a week, we love it, and the girls cope with the car journey really well. We are trying Het Meerdal this time, went to De Eemhof for October half term last year and the girls loved it and talk about all the time:thumbsup2 We are driving into Germany to meet friends and to go to a big Warner Bros theme park there:goodvibes

We can't go hardly anywhere with DD in the car unless it is local, if she knew we were going on a long car journey she would worry and get stressed out and if we didn't tell her she would want to know how long the journey is going to take before getting in the car and then she wouldn't want to go. I hope she grows out of it though as there is loads of places in Cornwall, devon and Scotland we would like to go to as well as France.

That must make life very difficult for you. I've been very lucky with my 2 as both are good car travellers and can happily read or play with their DSs in the back of the car. It's a good job really as it's over 2 hours each way to visit my family.

How old is your daughter? Perhaps it will help if she is old enough to sit in the front of the car.

She's 7, she can't play DS in the car or anything as it makes her sick so she gets bored which doesn't help. We play I spy and stuff though. I am just glad can get her on a flight to Flordia as she is not to keen on flying. I wasn't a good traveler when I was a kid so I try to be patient with her as my mum used to get really angry if I was sick in the car or plane.

Poor thing, what a shame. It must be so daunting for all of you when you have a trip planned, you must dread seeing her like it.

Nowhere near as serious but my youngest gets car sick if we go out early in the morning, I have to give her the minimum amount of water and just buttered toast for breakfast, she doesn't get at all distressed by it so I am lucky. We drove 1hr 30mins to Legoland the other day and she was sick as soon as we turned into the park.

Morning all,

We are up and about early this morning as we had to take the car for a service at 8am, we got a lift home from the garage :)

With no car it's a day at home for us, I'm wondering if it's warm enough to fill the paddling pool? Whilst the girls are playing I shall be catching up on chores.

Happy Friday everybody:cool1::cool1:

I am so pleased it's almost the weekend!

Not up to much today....just boring chores. :laundy:

Have a good one all.

Hello everyone!!!

OK, so I've spent the best part of the week avoiding all the chores but can't keep closing my eyes/turning my head!!! Therefore today I'll be breaking out the big guns (aka vacuums and steam cleaner) to give this place a proper blitzing!!! I've already got Roomba cleaning the conservatory floor and the steam cleaner's heating up as we speak...

Wish me luck, I'm going in!!! :scared1:
