I feel a lot better this morning. Swine flu is strange I seem to now have had all the symptoms but they seem to come and ago? I feel really sick at the moment (side effect of tamiflu), sore throat, runny nose and I still feel like I have ran a marathon as my arms and legs are aching My temp has gone down though

Glad your feeling better Mandy DF felt like that the night before we went last year - he had "man flu"

Good morning all. Thank you all so much for your kind wishes this week about my dad, I was very worried about him. Just spoke to my mum & he had a good nights sleep but his stomach hurts a lot but I guess it will take time to heal, he has 8 weeks of tablets to keep him going & then will have to go back to hospital and have the camera procedure again to check all is healed.

Karen - I hope your dh is feeling better & allowed home today.

Mandy - What a nightmare! I am glad you are feeling better today & hope that you have a wonderful holiday.

Gemma - I hope you are fighting fit soon hun.

Nothing exciting planned for me today, I have to wait in for a delivery that I missed during the week....haven't got a clue what it is but hopefully it's something exciting that I've forgotten I ordered!

Weather update.....No sun here, it's been raining this morning.

...Dh is still in, the Dr did mention about the possibilty of him being allowed home today if his blood's were better, but unfortunately he never came back to discuss them But I don't really think he look's well enough

Hope your DH's blood results look better today and he gets to come home for the weekend...

Going food shopping with Dil this morning , then thats about it apart from pottering about indoors.

...Sorry I didn't keep up with this thread yesterday, but I had a bit of a scare last night (just what I need 24 hours before my hols !!). I had an awful headache, I couldn't look at my laptop screen, as it was too bright, and I felt sick

Convinced I was coming down with swine-flu, I had an early night, and thank goodness I feel a lot better this morning - phew !!!

I've got a busy day today. I've got to finish off the packing, do on-line check-in and get my nails done this morning .. then hopefully we'll be on our way to Manchester airport around tea-time...

OMG!!! You poor thing!!! Fingers crossed you feel fine and everything goes according to plan today...

Glad your Dad was able to sleep last night, Claire - no doubt he will be sore for a while but it should ease as the days go by... How exciting about your delivery!!! I'm awaiting the arrival of my new MacBook Pro - can't wait!!!

Today I will be completing my list of amendments to the builder's quote as well as asking him to get his surveyor round as mine (ex-husband of a friend) has disappeared off the face of the earth and we need those calculations for all the support beams... Yesterday I discovered a supplier of the stone basins/washstands I want for the bathrooms so I'll be sending a cheeky email seeing if I can negotiate a further discount for a bulk purchase...

DH got up bright and early to drive to Eastbourne to collect MIL. He'll then be taking her home to Birmingham and, as I don't want him doing so much driving in one day, he'll be staying overnight. It's not ideal but he plans to be up early tomorrow morning to beat the traffic and return home for breakfast...

Afternoon everyone. I was really ill last night with what we think was food poisoning (my mum was convinced I had swine flu, even though I didn't have a temperature) My niece was ill yesterday morning & my sister was ill last night too. I was round hers the day before so we think it was the pancakes we had, the eggs were in date but must of been a dodgy one. I'm feeling much better now & can keep food/drink down.

Haven't got much planned today due to this though.

cant believe ive only got just over 3 weeks school hols to go
Matts got a few days off each week for the next few weeks so im hoping they will go v quick

we're off to ikea to get yet more bookshelves for our house, going in our dining room which ive been painting
sunday matts taking Luke to the cinema to watch G-Force so i can have a bit of peace and quiet.
we saw G.I.Joe last night, i really thought it was fab

Consultant visited him last night and say's as long as he behaves himself, and rest's he can come home, but has to return for a Gastroscopy on tues.

Can't wait to go and pick him up and then it's an afternoon in the garden, it's been a long 10 day's without him!

It was lovely yesterday, we went out for a walk at Delamere Forest. We were going to go to the beach but in the end couldn't be bothered driving that far.
