General chit chat thread.

The exchange rate isn't that different to our trip 4 years ago - I never had a chance to sample the $2 to the £1 so I won't miss it.

Thomas cook were offering $1.55 yesterday, the other week i could have got $1.59 and wish i had now.

Fairfx have a rate of $1.5950 this morning, you can buy cash from them (they don't just do the cards).

I hope the rate goes up again soon I want to get some more, it was $1.63 a week or so ago & then it dropped again. :headache:

That sounds like a lot of work Rachel, hope the move goes well...when do you re-open ?

Just had a look on fairfax and their cash rate is £1 = $1.5730. :)

So it is, i'm sorry. I didn't realise they had a different rate for cash.....maybe I won't be getting it from them now. ;)

Morning everyone!

Hope the sun stays out today.

Morning Emma. :goodvibes

Ive got 7 today, including my own two ;)

Crikey - rather you than me. :scared1:

Claire, sounds like our own little Twitter group, sorry to hear you have had a bad headache, hope you recover quickly.

What am I doing today? Well running round like a headless chicken cleaning the house not only for the holidays but because my DS20 has invited a friend to stay till Friday, so feel a bit nervous.

Morning everyone, It is pouring down up here and has been all night. So its going to be a long day with the kids. We aren't able to go anywhere as they have chicken pox so its inside the house all day. Liam is really grumpy with it and has been awake since 5am:scared1::scared1:.

Morning all!

Well I'd lost half a pound at WW last night - hardly seems worth the trouble!!

Well today I am expecting to be very busy indeed. I am at work and we have our Yankee Candle Loyalty night in the shop from 6 till 9, we have over 250 members in our loyalty club now so it's going to be a very busy night! The last one we had we had people waiting 20 minutes to get to the stands! Scary stuff!

My parents are babysitting tonight while DH and I do that, and I have told them to be good and go to bed when they are told to, but who knows if that will really happen! :)

Have agreat day everyone!

I just recieved all the school clothes that I ordered from M&S and most of them don't fit. I had ordered age 14 trousers for DS, nearly 12, and they are too short. same with DS2, whos 8, age 9 are too short. DD, whos 4 her age 6 are ok. So now I have to return them, problem with getting bigger sizes is that the kids are soooo skinny. I already buy the adjustable waist ones but you end up pulling them so tight they are scrunched up at the back, so not comfy. AAARRHHH clothes shopping for kids is hard work.

Just back from the Monsoon Sale - really quiet :thumbsup2

Needless to say - bought nothing for me but bought some really plain shorts & t shirts for Molly - yet to show her them though :scared1:

Not sure what to do this afternoon - the kids are fighting like cat and dog :confused3

I popped to Monsoon in Coventry and Nuneaton this morning, I was really disappointed, the dress I wanted wasn't in the sale, and another I quite liked only had a tenner off (which isn't much with Monsoon prices) - nevermind, maybe they'll reduce it more in the next week or so :)

Oh no, didn't realise the monsoon sale had started and haven't really got time to go into town with going away on Thursday. Had my hair cut this morning and am just off to the gym for my last session, its a new class called 'Thriller' as its held by the dance teacher who does the latin class I go to I think I've a rough idea of what to expect:rotfl2:

Hey Everybody!! :wave2:

Whats everyone up to today then?? I'm currently doing some sewing (I've started making fabric brooches, etc.).... I'm seriously out of practice!! :lmao:

Bob xoxoxoxox
