We're here now on the train. Sometimes posters ask if anyone gets tired if coming. For us, the answer is truly no. Granted, we're not locals visiting weekly. We come up from SD for an overnight trip on average once a month. Maybe that's enough of a gap to keep the magic fresh.

Anyway, we're so lovin' DLR right now. We entered CA first and I'm just loving that park more and more every trip. It's the vibe. On the short trip down Buena Vista we stopped to watch the bell ringers, met Chip n Dale, filled out a letter to Santa with the bike messenger lady, skipped Goofy but he was out. They really figured out how to put the magic in this park. Cannot wait to catch Viva Navidsd later. That was a highlight for us last year.

Crossing over to DL, it just got better. It is seriously character central over here. Cinderella and Snow before the tunnels - no handlers :). Through the tunnels - all out at the same time - are Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Alice and Mad. All in Xmas costume. Yesterday was similar and we also saw Hook in FL ( who we stopped for), Stormtroopers in TL (another stop) and a princess over by the wishing well (no stop lol).

I know, this is a lot to write just to say we love DL. I think a lot if you will get my feeling though. And from non meet n greet folks at that.
Ok, we're off to Jingle Jangle which opened today. So much magic awaiting!

This gave me warm fuzzy feelings and made me smile! Thanks for posting! We have never done DL in the Holiday season (have done WDW), and your post just makes me want to get there for that time even more!

Yay! We will be there starting tomorrow for the Avengers Half and I can't wait for all the Christmas stuff.
We're also from SD and come up about once a month, also never get tired of it.

I love the Bell Ringers, we watched their whole show once last year, just stood there mesmerized. :)

I'm glad you're have a great time!

That rules!!! Disneyland is really great. There's places with better rides but no place has the magic. And that is what is so important. The whole atmosphere.

I totally agree with you, especially about DCA! I said to DH last trip that while the original park is fantastic, DCA is rapidly becoming my favourite! The feel of the park is just a bit more relaxed, it rarely feels super crowded and some of my favourite things to see and do are there.

Don't get me wrong, Space Mountain will always hold a special place in my heart but if I had to pick, ToT might win out. :scared1:

Color me jealous, but in a good way :thumbsup2 I could not agree more. I will not be back there until Christmas 2015 (got an AP for WDW this year so if we are taking a theme park vacation we will be in Florida), but I cannot wait! Like you, I love everything about DLR. To me, with 3 kids, its just an easier set up to navigate and they have everything truly within walking distance. One of my DS-7's loves the train beyond words so take a loop for him please. Have a great trip!!!

Me too! Heading down for my third trip of 2014 in a few weeks. People think I am crazy, but I don't care! I LOVE DISNEYLAND!!!!

Just a day and a half left of work and I'll begin what's been cooking for too long. Hope we get that same feeling when we arrive.

We just left Anaheim after two weeks there. Most days we were in the parks.
Even though I keep expecting to get tired of the place, I don't. Its magical in a way that nowhere else of its kind is.

Our AP's just expired and I'd planned on no visits in 2015, but not sure I'll be sticking to it. Its just a wonderful place for a family vacation!

I'm with you, but you should try flying instead of driving! It's such an easy flight! I love DCA but in different way than Disneyland. I have a hard time choosing which one to see first LOL

We just caught the Viva show. And yay! it's just as great as last year. For those headed this way during the holidays, put this on your must do list. Really!!! Best viewing is in front of Bayside Brews/Jellyfish.

Our friends and family thinks we are crazy too but we like our annual trips! :thumbsup2 They don't understand that it's not all about the rides for us, it the atmosphere and the warm fuzzy feeling we get when we walk into the park. It's like being home again! :)

The best thing about the DISboards is that everyone here "gets it!" We're all crazy about Disneyland and we all know it's not just the rides - it's the magic, and the escape from all pressure and responsibility. It's the closest thing to Utopia that we'll ever experience. :)

We go almost weekly, sometimes more. My family and friends think I'm crazy but when they come with us and see how much fun we have They usually start asking questions about annual passes :thumbsup2

It's always magical. Always fun. And I always feel like a little kid the moment I step through the tunnel onto Main Street.
And there are still things I haven't done!!!

I have tried to describe it to people that don't "get" how a grown woman can like Disneyland so much, but unless they have been it is hard for them to understand. I am the type of person that if I am on a beach somewhere, all I can think of is the stuff I need to deal with when I am back home. At Disneyland, all I am thinking about is do I want a Dole Whip, or a Churro and do I want to go on Space Mountain or BTMR. I am happy my kids loves it as much as I do--and my husband is a good sport!

Me too--three trips in 2014:thumbsup2 and leaving again in three weeks.:santa:. Disneyland brings out my childlike wonder and playfulness. My profession and disposition are rather serious and heavy and I love the utter enchantment, magic and lightness I find in myself and others at Disneyland.

When we were there last week, it was gorgeous. Weather, people, rides, just everything was super nice.
I think one of my favorite activities is having a meal and just sitting there watching the park. Sublime.
