I was on this boat. In fact my claim to fame can be that I was just two staterooms away from the famed Erica, writer of one of the best trip reports in DIS history.
You see, I promised my husband and myself that I would write a trip report this time. I mean our last cruise was phenomenal and had all sorts of neat things happen due to Hurricane Frances. What do you mean it isn't normal for the captain to come on the loudspeaker everyday and say we are changing our itinerary? I thought
Castaway Cay is always the first stop. What do you mean we are outrunning a hurricane? You mean we have to stay on the boat longer than we are suppossed to - and this isn't costing me anything?
I have wanted to hit myself several times for not doing it then.
But alas I can not. I am in the midst of having a tremendous panic attack. How will I ever be able to write a trip report that will ever be as good? How can my words be enough. But then I was touched as I read her ending and my eyes started to itch. . .
You see this was us. Our first trip with a little one-an 18 month old to be exact. And even though my writing insecurities make me want to throw up, I just may put my words to paper. Perhaps I will call mine
