Gee Whiz - I wish I had the time...

Grumpy Pirate posted his brand of Pirate innuendo on two other threads I was on so when I saw this, that's what made me think of him.

I was following a few of Scotlass' posts on FB and I even mentioned to her that she'd need to come over here and translate because I wasn't sure what she was talking about. :rotfl:

This what you talkin about.....?

"......hinks this " Staycation " shenanigans is the dugs...another braw day with the bairns !! LOVE EM...:) "

Answers on a post card to oor usual address...winner gets a virtual Margarita !! ;)

PK, just bring us the words, I am quite sure we can come up with our own, point-free meanings.

And believe it or not Judi...it has a point !!

Yes Scotlass, that's exactly the post I was referring to! :rotfl:

As for you Judi, no I won't be reporting back. :scared1:

Hey Scotlass

"thinks this playstation is the bomb, another great day with my boy"

How'd I do? :rotfl2:

Pk, let's get Pakey, a couple of drinks and she'll be ready for pirate:shenanigans

Close but Scotlass posted "staycation" which I assume means instead of going away on vacation, they were staying home and vacationing at home, doing day trips.

Do you really think with enough rum Pakey will be okay with us pimping her out to a pirate?

What?!? GP is not checking anything on me. No way, no matter how much booze you throw down my throat.

And honestly, GP probably couldn't drink enough to tolerate the task either. :lmao:

Scotlass, good to see ya and yer Scottish gibberish. I talk like that too after I drink too much of GP's grog.

The boards are so slow for me today. Maybe it's me that is slow. It is Friday after all.

PK, I know that you are going to WDW soon. I hope you've been out running up your debt. From what I've been reading around here, it's now a prerequisite to going. Let me know if you need any help. I love to shop.

Actually, I'm sad to say, I am probably one of those posters. All of my trips are paid for in cash, it's what I do the rest of the year that's a problem. I'm thinking of taking out a loan from my retirement/401k and paying it all off. The problem comes after that -- can I live a cash only life? :confused3 Never have before so the prospect is scary. Spend too much of my life trying to fix my problems by spending money I don't have. Would love any advice/books/websites anyone can provide that might help me on my road to recovery. Even considered a 12 step program, so let me know your experiences.

Didn't mean to be Debbie Downer but I really could use some sound advice and won't be upset if I get flamed. I know I deserve a good stiff kick in the pants.

PK

Not always the greatest idea to borrow from your retirement. You need to get the instant gratification under control first. Just start paying cash for what you need from now on. If you need to charge, go right to the credit cards website and pay it off when you get home.

Just saw this on another thread. Even though I have posted on there and knew the context in which it was posted, I still thought GP = Grumpy Pirate:

Yes a GP can do a pap smear, but they don't do them often and many prefer not to.

Pass the rum -- I NEED A DRINK! :lmao:

Why would I want to smear a Pirate And Princess party, I thought they were a lot of fun! I wouldn't want to disdain them in any way!

No GP is doing MY pap smear!:lmao:

Hey, I am almost a doctor..(well, I DID watch a lot of medical shows a few years ago!!) hehehehehhehee

What?!? GP is not checking anything on me. No way, no matter how much booze you throw down my throat.

Hmm, I thought you were supposed to SIP it!!

unless you are not talking about RUM?

hehehehehehhee

Thanks Judi. Instant gratification is the first of many demons to concur. It will be a long hard road, but it needs to be done. Thanks for the advice and keep it coming!

I tend to think I have a quick wit and am pretty good with the one liners. That being said, I bow down to GP -- he has a witty answer for everything and can always be counted on for a laugh. You should be bantering with a live audience.

holey moley, good find!I remember seeing that movie on late night T.V. many years ago (yeah, i'm sticking with that story!)
hehehehehe

:worship:Judi, you're definitely something special! The good doctor actually said something nice to you.

I believe you, he just so rarely says nice things that I was shocked. It kinda reminds me of my DH. Most nice things he says have a punchline following them. Makes life fun.

And you have 5 beautiful punchlines to show for it.
