Gee Whiz - I wish I had the time...

Hi, Snappy!!!

It seems everyone here has been getting lives recently. They've not been around much. I've been busy searching curriculums for my kids. :headache: I'd rather be here posting about nothing in particular.

Here's the puppies

Hey snap, good to see ya.

PksMom, I wish you would start some ******* on the CB, it's been a little light and frothy of late.

Kerrie, puppies are darling.

Helene, scotlass, smiley, judi, did GP scare you guys away?

I took a day of vacation today to help my husband lay the last of the pavers (it was only 107 today, a perfect day to do heavy outside work) but I answered my cell and ended up having to go into the office to get some Chinese glass through customs. I pretended to be annoyed but geesh, did I mention it was 107 out there today?

Wow Pakey, you just don't know when to quit with those pavers, do you? :lmao:

As for stirring it up on the DIS, I was in a small altercation a few days back over something I probably shouldn't have said about Kendra (Hugh Heffner's old girlfriend) and the idea of her being a strict Christian mother. I think I was right in my opinion of her and her new-found Christianity, but I probably shouldn't have said I hope her daughter grows up to be just like her. :scared1:  We all know I sometimes take it a bit too far. :guilty:

Hey snap -- I did mention your absence a few posts back, so yes, we have missed you, and many of the other occasional posters. Maybe we'll all go back to not having a life come fall. In the meantime, I think it will be my and Kerrie's duty to make sure we keep this thread afloat until then, if for no other reason than to be able to show the OP that we went 250 pages and started a new one all from nothing.

:wave2:

I want a puppy, they are so cute.

Puppies are a nice safe point free conversation ;)

:hippie:

:wave2: Hi, Judi!!!

I'll have to take some more pictures and post them. They are pretty cute, of course, they're also rather annoying.

I'm with you :thumbsup2

We have about 35 pages to go. I know I'm interesting enough to fill that, so maybe I should start making stuff up..... Give me a topic....

Rum.... I don't know anything about that. You'll have to edjumacate me.

And, yeah, where is Scotlass? She never said if she got all her ADRs or not.

Topic: grumpy pirates: how did you evah git along witout him around? Silly Pirate, we can't get along without him.

and rum! rum is a good topic! Ah, yes. Rum. With the weekend almost here, I feel compelled to do a little research and get back to you on Monday.

Scotlass and I still haven't been given the list of bahookie our friends on the No Life thread would like to see upon our return from the great and wonderful WDW.

Okay Smiley, just this one time we'll allow you a life, but please do check in occasionally and let us know what it's like.

Alright Kerrie, here's a topic for discussion. Why do my bosses always wait until Friday to work when they know my teammate is out of the office on vacation? If you come to any conclusions, I'd be happy to hear them.

PK'smom, my conclusion is that most bosses are completely clueless. Some are also idiots.

I'm taking my 5 kids to Barnes and Noble this morning. I have a feeling people will see us coming and cringe.

It's only going to be 106 today so I guess we are in a cooldown. :rotfl:

With all the talk of idiot bosses, I often wonder what my people say about me behind my back. Not that it would bother me but I bet I'd find it entertaining. I haven't fired anyone for 3 months now so I'm on a roll.

PK'sMom, I would love to see a bahookie picture of Cruella deVille because I can imagine what she'd say to you while you are trying to take it.

And I did see your post regarding the bunny baby. Also saw you got an honorable mention about it somewhere else. But that was just one little post, you have to get out there and really stir things up.

Judi, so glad to see ya again. Stop by more often, with you and Helene MIA, there is nobody to talk skittles with.

Have I mentioned pavers today? Nope, cuz we are almost done with that project. Onto fencing later today.

Good

Morning

Pakey, my skittle has done much better now that he has retired, for what the 3rd time:laughing:

Ah, the last bahookie I posted, the mods didn't care for.:rolleyes1

:rotfl2:

So, we went to my nephew's baptism on Sunday. Relatives took the two babies to hold (gotta get that baby time in). I was standing with DD4 and DH. DD was playing with my arms like kids do. All of a sudden, she grabs my finger and uses it to wipe her nose. :scared1: That child is not right. :sad2:

Actually, if you think about it, the kid is pretty smart...

She had a problem and sovled it, then it was suddenly YOUR problem..

hehehehhehehee

Kerrie, it's going to be hard to explain why I choked on the banana I was eating when I read this.

Okay, got to get back to my regularly scheduled sweating in this 111 (not I hear it might be 112) degree day.

DH's b-day is tomorrow, so the kids and I went to the store to get everything to make him a cake. As we were checking out, a man standing near the check out asked if I needed any help (mom with 5 kids and lots of groceries, I'm sure I looked like I needed help). I told him no, I can handle it all, but thanks. He starts talking to the kids. DD4 tells him that tomorrow it Daddy's birthday. He asks what are you doing to celebrate it. DD4 "we're making him a cake." Man "what kind?" DD4 "Chocolate, cause it looks like poop." :lmao: I thought he was going to fall on the floor laughing. He must not have kids cause you could tell he did not expect that answer.

I think I would have fell on the floor laughing. You definitely don't expect a response like that, but I doubt anyone would be shocked. Poop and other bodily functions are big in that age group. Wait til Dad finds out he's getting a poopie cake!
