It's "spring cleaning" week in our offices. When I started in January, I basically did a "stash and dash" of the piles and piles of "stuff" from the previous director (a guy) so that I could move forward. Now that I know more (and am not afraid of throwing stuff out that might be important), I'm getting rid of bushels of stuff. He'd been here 10 years and was apparently pretty burned out when he left in September.

In and amongst the finds? an envelope of about 400 pennies, 4 bottles of men's cologne (2 still in plastic), a tie, several picture holders, a fold-down laundry bin, a bunny rabbit pin, one winter glove and a stocking cap. The ultimate toss? A maroon wool woman's skirt. Go figure.

I'm working, been here since 6 am . It's our last day of hiring for the season. It's so sad. There are so many people here already in line (we are not opening the doors for another hour) that we have decided that we are handing out raffle tickets today. How sad, raffling jobs. We have already hired 1300 and only have 282 spots left.

Well, DS has a double header game -- it's been 2 weeks since I've been able to go to a game, so I'm looking forward to it. But brrr....it's cold and windy.

DS wants ("needs" according to him) to go to get new flip flops for baseball. Fun, fun.

My entire family (parents, all siblings) are huge baseball nuts. My parents are so bad that they follow our lady bulldogs (college softball) around the country with their RV to watch them play.

I completely agree. You can't save everyone Pakey, but that's a lot of people you've put to work and I know you've probably made a lot of other mothers' dreams come true for mother's day, because of those jobs.

Today we have a communion to go to, and tomorrow I'm off to see my mom. Can't wait to give her the MNSSHP tickets that arrived yesterday!

Awwww, this made me get all goose bumply. I hope you have a fantastic weekend as well. My kids think I'm the coolest mom in the
World. When they asked me what I wanted, I asked for........Ammo. Yep...ammo. That got their attention. Then they cracked up laughing.
