I'll let you all in on a little secret. I'm working on it. I actually opened a facebook page and contacted my half brother that I haven't spoken to in about 13 years. Long, long story, lots of history, but I figured it was time to reach out if I could find him. His wife sent me a message, accepting my friendship request (you know that's what they do over there), so I'm hoping to hear from him. Wish me luck. I hope it is everything you are hoping for. Even if my siblings drive me insane and I stand staring at them in total disbelief of their ignorance some days, I still love them and their quirky ways. Besides... standing next to them always makes ME look better! j/k

We did our egg coloring on Thursday otherwise I just wouldn't have got them done at all this year. Patrick just took the 3 older kids to another egg hunt across town. The baby just fell asleep after being awake since 7am no way was I gonna wake a sleeping baby for some stupid eggs!

I wish you good luck. I have one brother I did not get along with and we went 10 years without speaking and it was so hard on my parents. My mother chose not to have a 50th anniversary celebration due to this. After I got cancer, I decided that I could be the bigger person and attended a function where I knew he'd be there. That was 2 years ago and we are not friends, never will be, but we can be in same room now and engage in conversation. In fact, we'll be seeing him and his wife tomorrow when we go to my other brother's home for the afternoon.

No egg coloring going on here. It's something I really miss since the kids have grown and moved on. My dogs are not interested in coloring eggs, what's up with that?


Oh, and my China trip has now been postponed until June. That works out better for me since my husband is having surgery at the end of this month and I really felt guilty that I was choosing a trip to China over him (note that I felt guilty but I was still going ).

I haven't had a drink since Jan 13,2008 (yes i know the exact date Anthony's due date was exactly 9 months later TMI I'm sure) but the kids are really pushing me into drinking tonight they wont stop yelling, fighting, Allison flipped out at the egg hunt because she didn't win I think that just set the tone of the day. Sorry for the small vent

Sorry to hear you're having a rough day today. Not saying your weren't thrilled to hear of Anthony's arrival, but when that urge to drink hits, just remember what happened last time you went drinking!

Never apologize for a vent. Better here than at the kids. I would never judge -- I stopped after 1 child. Knew even then that DH and I were outnumbered. She's much too much like me.

We colour our eggs(we are talkin hard boiled here right) then we roll them down a hill...I think its to symbolise the stone rollin away from the entrance of Jesus's cave !!
