Yes clean bill of health, hadn't realized I'd hit 3 years now so that is good. Went and had 2 drinks with dinner to celebrate both anniversaries.

Good morning no lifers. Good to see ya again Smiley and Welcome to FarAway. If you, too, have no life, drop by again soon.

Redlight has inspired me to re-diet again. I hope that doesn't result in me getting any kind of life tho, would hate to miss out on the fun here.

My darling husband, in his attempt to help with my diet, made ghiradelli brownies last night. Gotta love the guy. I had one bite and then was forced to go to bed to prevent me from having more. I must get thin to run off to France with hunky oncologist.
 
Pakey, I too have started a new life. :rotfl: I'm not necessarily dieting, but I have begun walking on my treadmill. 75 minutes for two nights in a row. I assume I've probably dropped about 5 pounds already. :rolleyes:

I'm walking too. I'm taking my worthless hairless dogs out for 2.5 miles every night.

I have to say that having my thighs rub together as I walk in 110 degree summers out here is not making me happy. These 10 lbs gotta go before it gets any hotter.

I have a lot more than 10 pounds to lose (80-90 actually) and believe me, I know about thighs rubbing. I'm waiting for the day I'm either going to start a fire (like rubbing two sticks) or start playing music (like a cricket). :rotfl2::rotfl2: One of the reasons I started is because I was not very comfortable in Disney last summer and I'd like there to be less of me when we go back this summer.

Glad I could inspire you, Pakey. I love brownies, and would have a hard time just taking one bite.

I need to send some of this easter candy to work with Patrick. Everytime I go into the kitchen I grab some.. :(

although, if I did, I wouldn't waste it on a message board.

I'm amazed at the number of posts some people make on these boards. I'm lucky if I can get in a half hour of reading every couple of days. I figured out the numbers for one poster and for over five years that poster has written an average of 12 posts a day - that's nuts! That's an average of at least one hour a day spent writing - never mind how much time is spent reading - I just don't get it. Who the heck has that kind of time? And, most of the posts are the same thing over and over.

Anyway - I love the disboards, but golly gee whiz - I just can't imagine having that kind of free time and spending it all online. I have so many friends and family that keep me busy all the time - I guess, if I were alone - I don't know. Seems really sad to spend all one's time on a computer with strangers. But, I guess, to each his own. :confused3

Just want to thank the OP for the wonderful thread they started. Some great folks on this thread. :thanks:

You're on! So far I walked 75 minutes Monday and Tuesday nights and 60 minutes tonight. I usually walk at a pace of between 3.0 and 3.5 miles per hour. It's a step in the right direction. Once I get this walking thing under control, then I'll start trying to do a little better with my diet. Right now I just don't have the stamina to do both.
