Gee, what a surprise! Universal increases ticket prices.

Universal just announced that ticket prices will be going up to $82, the same as a Disney 1 day ticket.

At the same time, Seaworld says they are not increasing their ticket prices.

Same thing happened last year. Seaworld will be increasing prices soon.

And yet the local news here isn't running "Universal raises prices yet again" stories like they did for Disney last week...

That's because Disney is a media target. This is the drawback to being the leader in an industry or community. You attract more attention. But, then again, that attention is also publicity.
