A lot of VGC owners have different ideas on how to get the best room possible. I, for one, just always request a room fourth floor or above. I like either side (pool or park side) On the pool side, I can get a small view of the DL fireworks, but it is a much quieter side than park side. On the park side I can get beautiful view of the WOC (not front and center, but nice anyway) and of Paradise Bay. It is noisier on that side, especially with all the construction. Although the construction located nearest to the GCH should be done by September, but you will have the usual Park noise. They do not guarantee a request and it is hard to do so since there are not a lot of rooms. So I figure that higher the floor, the better view I will get for either the fireworks or the lagoon side of DCA.
Last weekend we had a 6th floor studio, park side, room 6504. The view was beautiful. Here are some pics of our room view. Note the construction which should done by September:
