Hi all,
So I just got off the phone with my guide and heard the AMAZING new incentive for GCV AND, most importantly, I am the proud owner of 130 GCV points!!! :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

I'm SO glad we waited and I believe we got the absolute best price EVER for GCV (I'm so excited my tummy is in knots-reminds me of how I felt as a kid on Christmas eve!)

Basically, the new incentive makes the per point cost around $90 :scared1:

I didn't inquire about the new incentive for AKV or SSR, but he indicated that it was good as well, but not as good as GCV.

Did I mention I'm so excited I'm about to bust?? :cheer2:

Congrats!

Do you have any details about the VGC incentives? (For example: How many points you have to buy to get what $ off per point, for add-ons or new members.)

I would like to know the break down as well for the new incentives. And is it for existing only, or for new with a referral. I know someone that is considering buying into the VGC. They watched the webcast, but if these incentives are better, I will let them know.

I'm sorry but I don't have exact info. on your questions because 1) I didn't ask I was too excited :lmao: and 2) I'm a cast member so I got different info. than current or prospective DVC owners would get.

My guide is suppose to call me back today with additional info. (doc signing, etc) and I will ask him at that time and post whatever I find out. I'm also curious about SSR & AKV incentives (inquiring minds want to know ;)

Thanx for the heads up... I also have a call into my guide. :thumbsup2

I just had to post..because I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the Haunted Mansion, and I literally laughed out loud when I saw your signature "picture a vgc thingy here":lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I envisioned my own in my signature until this morning, when it "magically" appeared :thumbsup2

So I called my guide. She said the incentive for an exsisting or a new member with referral is $22 dollars off from 160-199 points. Or you can get $16 off and a 3 day cruise. Over 200 points is $24 off.

Does anyone know the incentive for 100 point add ons?

I only called specifically about VGC because that was what I was interested in and that was what this thread was about. I do remember reading in another thread that BLT incentives have gone down.

Talked with my guide...
I was rushed and didn't write it down, so this is my best recollection -

After all incentives and discounts, if you buy a minimum of

50 pts --> $92
100 pts --> $90
125 pts --> $88

There are some alternative incentives of 3-7 day cruises instead of the dollars.

And here's the information I got from my guide. LOL I did write it down but it'll be interesting to see what it all turns out to be.

For Current Member add-on's

GCV
50 points $16 off for $96/pt
100 points $22 off for $90/pt
125 points $24 off for $88/pt!

And here's the rest:

BLT
50 points $5 off $107/pt
100 points $11 off $101/pt
125 points $13 off $99/pt

AKV/SSR
50 points $13 off $99/pt
100 points $19 off $93/pt
125 points $21 off $91/pt

GCV
50 points $16 off for $96/pt . . .

BLT
50 points $5 off $107/pt . . .

AKV/SSR
50 points $13 off $99/pt . . .

So, it looks like that out of the new properties, GCV is the cheapest to purchase right now. That should put an end ot the rumor that it is about ready to sell out. -- SUzanne

As with all rumors, no one really ever knows. I was of the belief that it would sell out quickly strictly because it is the only DVC in CA currently and with only 160 units it will sell out eventually.

It worked out great for us because we couldn't afford it right after we purchased BLT, and we happened to have the down payment "handy" and the great incentives just made it a "must do" for us. Couldn't be happier, and CANNOT wait to visit GCV next summer!!!

We are brand new DVC members. My guide today told me the price for our 265 pts at VGC was $90/pt. I asked about the $88 mentioned on the boards and he said it must be for existing members while on a cruise. He said there was nothing else he could see that could make the price $88 for us. Does this seem accurate? Thank you.

I am so excited. Hubby and I have been thinking of buying a SSR contract through the Timeshare store but I really wanted GCV. Now when he gets home I am going to try my hardest to get this!!! What a great price!

Well... Sorta. It's cheaper per point only because it is so many points to book room. 10% cheaper per point, but it requires 30% more points. No wonder fees are cheap.
