GCV June UY- When can I book first reservation?

Hi Everyone,

We filled out paperwork with our guide today for 105 pts at GCV with a June UY. Still not 100% sure we will purchase and will wait until after member event to see what new incentives will be before we decide.

I realize this evening that I did not completely understand something that our guide said-- she mentioned that we would get our points in June but would not be able to make a reservation until the property opens in November. Now that I think about it, this seems incorrect. Perhaps I just mis-heard, but if I get GCV points in June, isn't it the case that I can make a reservation in June (but of course not stay until after property opens in November)? Maybe what guide actually said is that I can't use points until after November... That would make more sense.

If this latter understanding in correct, would the same hold if I made a reservation elsewhere (such as AKV)- can make the reservation but not use the points until after GCV opens?

Thanks in advance everyone. I can of course call guide to clarify tomorrow, but figure if I ask here someone can tell me tonight!

You understand correctly. You can make reservations, but cannot actually stay at any property until VGC opens.

VGC Reservations can be made starting June 7th!
