We're planning a visit here in March. Before requesting rooms, I wondered if the construction woiuld make a difference. Any reports ? Thanks!

I had a concierge theme park view last month and I could see the construction quite well. It didn't bother me though because I found it interesting to watch. I would imagine that when they start the framing process, it could be rather noisy.

I've stayed in a standard room that was in the corridor that is next to where the expansion is happening. You are close enough that I would imagine you would be able to hear the construction going on. I would request a standard room that was facing the courtyard, that would take you away from the construction and give you the monorail to watch come and go. The monorail is surprisingly very quiet as it passes by, plus the courtyard is a peaceful area.

i will be down at the hotel in Early December but i always ask for a court view very quiet and no noise.

A courtyard view would be most ideal.:thumbsup2 Also, I want to point out that many standard views look out towards the street (Disneyland Way) in front of the GCH, which isn't really looking at the construction, BUT if you were located down near the end of the building where the construction is taking place, it could be noisy.

So, if they can't get you a courtyard view, ask for a street view on the north end of the hotel.

All the windows on the front of the hotel are standard view rooms. The windows on the left (north end) of the building are furthest away from the construction.

The south end is where the construction is taking place.

Hope that helps you out a little.:)
