GCH Room Service Offerings

If one was to order champagne from room service at the Grand Californian Hotel, does anyone know what one's options would be? Vineyards, prices, etc?

We're trying to decide whether to order in-house or bring our own for a small party.

I have not been able to find a wine list for Napa Rose, in GCH, published online. Since it's the resort's premier restaurant, though, and also since it's supposed to be designed on a vineyard theme, I'm sure it's extensive. I read somewhere that every server has sommalier certification; don't know if that's still the case. But I'm positive you'd be able to get Moet, Dom Perignon, Perrier-Jouet, etc. as well as a host of local vintages.

That said, you can be certain that anything you order for room service is going to be marked up to a premium price. Wines are generally at least twice and more usually 3x their wholesale cost. You could probably bring in a much nicer wine at a much lower cost yourself.

Thanks -- great suggestion! I'll contact VP today. We'll be staying in an Artesan suite at the GCH the second weekend in August and thought we'd invite our friends up for a bit of bubbly before taking them to the Club for dinner. Wasn't sure how to arrange for the bubbly.

The hotel suggested room service upon our arrival, but I like to determine what to expect and what our options are before arrival - particularly if we're bringing something with us!
