GCH Questions

Hello...we are set to stay at the GCH in July. We have stayed here before but this year we are doing a standard view as this year the standard is what we paid for theme last year ...oh well.

This year we are also bringing my DD friend who has never been to Disney and this is something her family just could not do for and she is an incredible girl..so excited to take her.

We will have 5 in a room and would like a bunk bed room but also would like a courtyard view....

So to make a short ? long...are there bunk bed rooms in courtyard? View is the most important to me...I love the balcony and sit on it for hours during afternoon so I would love courtyard.

Any advice on what to ask for would be great. I have read through the GCH thread...

The easy answer is "yes".

I believe, in order to obtain the view you want (of the monorail running through the courtyard, correct?) that you can call or fax about 3 days ahead of your stay and request it. I've always had good luck getting that view and until our last trip always had bunk beds. We've also always checked in early and let them know we'd be happy to wait if the room isn't ready. However, we never go during the busiest time of the year, so be open if they put you someplace else. We've had views over GRR (magical!) and out over the carpark and towards DL hotel. We were on the top floor so it was all good. We didn't spend all that much time in our room anyway.
