GCH Check in duration

For those who have stayed at the GCH recently, how long has it typically taken to get through the check in process. We will be checking in the morning before our EE and last time we stayed there Oct 2018, I feel like check in took unusually long, around 30 min. We made it to EE a few minutes after it started and are wondering if that long time was a fluke or the norm. The CM kept going into the back and disappearing for several minutes at a time then reappear with no explanation. Which I thought was a little weird. I just want to make sure I arrive with plenty of time for EE. Clearly 45 minutes was not enough last time to park, check in and walk to the gates.

We did check in in under 5 minutes last August. It was a Saturday morning around 7:30am.

Check in with no line should not take that long- unless your CM has problems again. Repeatedly going to the back is a sign they had issues. Personally for a 7am EMH wanting to be able to enter the parks at 7am I would look to arrive at the hotel at 6am. It should give you plenty of time in case something goes wrong and if you are done fast you can always grab some coffee or something in DtD on your way to the front gates.

Last time we were there around 6:15 and weren't done until around 6:50. Then the walk to the main gates. I will try closer to 6 and just hope last time was a fluke.

We were there August as well. They were remodeling, so the valet was a little further away. We arrived at 7:30ish on a Monday and were 2nd or 3rd in line. It was just under 20 minutes from when we pulled in to when we were walking towards the parks. Wife checked the bags while I checked in to the room.

Usually walking back and forth indicates issues. It could be they were looking at room upgrades, trying to meet your requests, or the system was having issues. The new system is a real PITA. Get there as early as you can.

I was just there two weeks ago and it took about 40 minutes, but it was the middle of the day and the line was huge, i'd say the actual checking in part after the line was 10 minutes. When i walked through the lobby in the mornings there was basically no line.
