GCH accessible parking

Hi, Does anyone know if we have to self park across the street while staying at the GCH with handicapped accessible plates?

If I remember correctly, there are handicapped spots in the self park lot.

Honestly...handicap or not, just valet...its like $5 more per night.

There are 6 handicap parking spots in the lot adjacent to main GCH entrance, there is no handicap parking across the street.
I have heard that if these spots are full, handicap guests may valet park at the self-park rate.

This was our experience 5 years ago. I can't imagine that has changed.

This was our experience last month. No spots were available when we pulled into the drive at GCH and asked, so we were valet parked. They did double charge our parking for self and valet upon checkout & after explaining the situation (it did take a while) they adjusted the bill to only charge for self-park so do check your bill carefully at the end of the trip if this ends up being the case.

Thanks for your input, hopefully there will be a spot when we get there. We won't move the car once we park. If we get valet parking, I'll be sure to check my bill ; )

If you're going to use your car at all the cost for self-parking is $17.00 per night, per vehicle; valet parking is $25.00 per night.
