Hi Again,
After much deliberation and changing of reservations we are staying at GC 8/23- 9/1, with a theme park view.
We are a family of 3; me, DH and DD,10... this is our first trip to DL as a
family.
I am thinking of trying to upgrade to concierge level if it is available. We have enjoyed the convenience of concierge the many times we have stayed at the resorts in WDW. I am not as concerned about food offerings as I am the atmosphere and convenience. Are the rooms all on the same floor? Are there people there to help with questions and /or any dining or activities we might need?
Would love to hear from those of you who have been recently.
Thanks, Deb

I've not done conceirge, but from what I understand, it's not as great a benefit at DLR as it is at WDW. For one, you can use the Vacation Planning services as an on-site guest regardless of whether you are a concierge guest or not. They can answer questions, help with PSs, etc. I believe the 6th floor of the GCH is the conceirge level, but there are some fabulous views on lower levels. I called 2 days prior to my arrival last week and requested a Grizzly Peak view, fairly high floor, say 3rd floor or higher. I was assigned a room on the 5th floor directly over the GCH entrance to DCA looking over Grizzly River Run. It was fabulous! If you can afford conceirge and are likely to enjoy to food offerings, I say go for it. Otherwise, just call ahead and make a request for a high floor and/or the view you are most interested in.

Regardless of your decision, you will not be disappointed.
