I got a great deal on a standard room. My question is can I add the concierge for the extra $$ and keep my rate? Hope that makes sense.

I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you but can you share how you found a good rate at the GCH?

Is it the gay days rate? If so, I'm not sure, but I doubt it. It's a special event rate that they are offering, but you could always call and ask.

Yes, we are going in support of our friends. I was going to wait a week or so and then call back and ask.

Ya wouldn't hurt to ask. We have the rate booked as well the 9th-13th, once all the events are over. It's a very good rate!

Probably the only way that we could afford it ;) Have you gone before? Did you have fun?

We've stayed there before yes, not at that good of a rate. Thankfully it was a family reunion and DH's grandma paid for the whole trip. We probably could never afford it if it wasn't for this rate either. I really can't justify almost $400 a night either though. Ouch!

It's a beautiful hotel, lots of fun! We had a park view before, but they told us with this rate we'll probably get a standard view. Which is okay, would love a park view again. It was breath taking!

The resort hotels require you to be in a concierge room in order for you to have the services, so no, unfortunately, you cannot add the services to a standard room. This is done to avoid overcrowding in the lounges. It can happen, on rare occassions, if the hotel is at a very low occupancy. But that has not been the case for years.
