Gaylord Plams Resort

We've never stayed there but been by it many times. If the inside is like the out then it has got to be gorgeous!

DH & I stayed there for four days three weeks ago & had an awesome time (this was a non-disney trip with no kids). I got the room through priceline ($93/night), was upgraded to an atrium view at check in at no extra cost. We were in the Everglades section. Great room, great hotel. I can't say enough nice things about the place. In other posts I read that noise travels up to your atrium view room from loud people in the atrium - we did not have that problem.

I have some pictures on my web site: http://cinjam.aboutmybaby.com/view/photoalbum.pl?photoalbum_id=63516 of the room and the grounds.

Three great restaurants, two good pools, internet in your room, ben & jerry's in the atrium (yum!), some good shopping stores, gators on site, we spent a whole afternoon just exploring the resort. Every night we would get some ice cream and walk the grounds (both inside & out).

I would love to stay there again.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for this info.. I was worried. I'll be there for a convention and will be missing my Disney hotels :)

Thanks for the info. Can't wait to get there it looks and sounds amazing. This is also a non-disney trip. MY sister and I are going to visit my dad for a few days and just wanted to take a day or 2 to relax. We pass this hotel everytime we go to my dad's and it looks awsome from the outside.

We have stayed twice now, recently and we love it. Hubby tells be to book at Gaylord Palms rather than a disney resort..lol. The rooms are very nice. Comfy beds, free internet. The breakfast buffet is very good. Massages at the Canyon Ranch Spa are excellent, pedicures in the salon are not so great. We can highly recommend Gaylord Palms. No problem with noise..we had atrium view with a balcony..it was great.

Hi. I just returned last night from my stay at the Gaylord Palms then the ASMu. Here is a link to the post while at the Gaylord Plams.

Now that I'm home I really wish that I would have stayed a couple of extra nights at the GP, instead of switching over to the ASMu. I love the Music, but this was my first solo trip. I spent more time in my room than usual, and would have been much more comfortable in the room at the GP. I have pictures to post, but I have dial up and it takes so long to upload. I will get them posted soon. I'm still wipped out from the traveling.

You'll greatly enjoy the GP. CM's from WDW even commented on how nice it is.

Once again, thanks for all the replies. From everything I have been reading I can't wait. It sounds like staying here will make up for this being a non-disney trip. Wish we had more than a couple days, but I guess since the purpose of the trip was to go see my dad we should at least go see him.

Linny, the Palms does offer transporttion at no charge to all the parks. It's really decent. They run every hour to and from till the close of each of the four major WDW parks. So you may at least be able to make a run over there for a couple of hours.
