Gaylord Palms - Shuttle Questions

For those who stayed at the Gaylord Palms, I have a few shuttle questions as this may determine if we stay at this resort. Thanks in advance.

1. How frequent did the shuttles come by to pick up guests?

2. Did the shuttle make stops at other hotels?

3. Are there shuttles throughout the day if you wanted to come back to the hotel in the afternoon and return to the park in the evening?

4. Would you have rather took a taxi or rented a car?

We've only stayed there once. It was July, 2011, and it was just DH and I. We only went to Epcot, but I did look over the general park shuttle schedule.

1. How frequent did the shuttles come by to pick up guests? For MK, pretty frequently. I believe every 30 minutes in the mornings. Same for the parks going back to the hotel in the late afternoon/evenings. Less frequently (maybe every hour) during less busy times of the day. The problem with Epcot when we went was that there was no shuttle before park opening. The first one of the day picked up after 9, so we didn't get to the park until around 10.

2. Did the shuttle make stops at other hotels? No, but they do stop at other parks sometimes. For Epcot, we stopped at Animal Kingdom to drop off those people and then we went to Epcot. I do believe it was even making another stop at HS, but my memory is fuzzy on that.

3. Are there shuttles throughout the day if you wanted to come back to the hotel in the afternoon and return to the park in the evening?
Yes, but not as frequent. See #1.

4. Would you have rather took a taxi or rented a car?
DH would rather take the shuttle. I'm a control freak and would have rather driven my car (we bring our own as we live 3.5 hours away driving).

Regardless, the resort is beautiful. Dining is very expensive, beware. The new family pool is very nice and the adult only pool is salt water and relatively quiet.

The others have fewer return times. Hope this helps.

We took a taxi from GP to Wilderness Lodge for $19.60
To Poly. for $21.60
and to the Premium Outlet Mall for about $10.

The Gaylord also has Town cars to take guests places, but the cost is much more than the taxi.
