Ok anybody ever stay here? The website looks nice and the rates work for us but what is it really like........? ;)

I have never stayed there. However, I know a few trips back I took some photo's. The hotel had me in complete awe. I thought just the sheer size of it was amazing.
For quite awhile this hotel was coming up in the resort class on Priceline, not so much anymore. It was popular, and a lot of people wanted to get it. I'm hoping someone can give you a more detailed report.

We haven't stayed there either, but we did go to visit it last year. Wow! This place should be on everyone's list of offsite attractions to see. It is definitely worth heading over there for an hour or two, maybe having dinner there one nite. Beautifully themed atrium lobby that is huge. Includes live alligators, a lake, Everglades section, an old fort, caves, waterfalls and more. It really is impressive. And lots of the rooms have balconies that overlook the atrium. They do charge for parking. I think it was $7 when we went, but I think it was worth it for the experience.

We have been here twice, never to stay though. We went to the Best of Florida festival in the early fall and then last weekend to ICE. If you have the chance I would definately stay there!! It is gorgeous!!

We stayed here for one night on Priceline last summer. Very nice, very large resort. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Didn't use the pools but they looked great.

Sorry, I haven't stayed here either, BUT, do a search. Several others have posted about the Gaylord Plams. I can't wait because I'll be there in July 2006 for a conference. I'll then have to decide whether to extend my stay after the conference there, OR to move onsight. :cool1:

We will be there Dec 22-24th (got it on Priceline). The price was definitely great, and I hope it is as nice as it looks. Last time we Pricelined a resort in the WDW area, we got the Marriott Orlando World Center, which was also terrific (can't beat a Starbucks in the lobby).

Sorry, never stayed there, but we always eat there. The restaurants are fantastic. Vila de flora is "buffet style" our kids (teenagers) love the food here, DD is vegetarian and there is always lots of choice for her ,especially on the create your own pasta bar, where the pasta chef cooks to order. Each night of the week has a different style we have tried the Italian and Spanish evenings. Also, more exclusive (and expensive) is the Old Hickory Steakhouse, this is one of the best restaurants in Orlando IMHO eat here for a special occasion. If you are dining at any of the restaurants parking is free.
The hotel itself is in a great location about as near as you can get without being onsite. As others have already said the pools look great, the atrium is huge and watching the gator feeding (about 6 pm I think) is fun. :thumbsup2

We stayed there just a couple months back, it was our first time there.

We loved it. It is very close to disney, easy drive.

The rooms, we had an atrium view, king bed and it was fantastic.

The staff was so polite, probably the best resort staff we have ever dealt with. Very attentive.

Free internet (everything in the room you need (monitor/keyboard), we didn't even have to set up the laptop. The pools are great, plenty of dining/drinking options. And the spa...omg, the spa is outstanding. Spa books up quickly, so if you want to use it, you can book ahead. It is a canyon ranch spa.

For the rates they charge, this resort is definately a treat! You won't regret booking there.

We adored our stay at this Hotel. The staff is great, the rooms large and clean and the facilities superb. In fact we changed our itinery to spend more time in the hotel itself - soaking up the atmosphere and sampling all it had to offer.

There was a teenage cheerleaders event on during our stay and our initial reaction was 'oh no' ,however the kids had a great time and the scale of the place meant we never felt crowded.

The Sunday brunch in the Villa de Flora was one of the best we have ever had. My mouth still waters with the recollection.

The location is also extremely convenient.

I love hearing all the great things about Gaylord. My mother has a convention there in '07 and called this AM to ask if DD and I wanted to go with her and enjoy Disney. She asked "Ya'll are going this year, wont you be sick of it" UMM NO. Since she's not one to spend money to stay at Disney this is probably the only time she'll go with DD. So I'm excited! She'll get to spend the weekend previous to her convention with us at a couple parks.

The website looks GREAT for this place! I cannot wait to see it and STAY THERE YAY.
