Allright, I know the debate is pretty much dying down but I still want to share my beleifs.
I am 100% in favor of gay marriage. My cousin is gay and she is one of the smartest, beautifull, kind women I know. What right does anyone have to say that she is not allowed to get married because she loves another woman? She loves her girlfriend, they are one of the cutest couples I've ever seen (so in love), all I want is the best for them.
Also, being involved in theatre I have many many guy friends who are gay. They, once again, are no different than any straight man I know. So they love other guys, big whoop, who is to say they cant legally declare their love?
About the religion aspect: My best friend is extremely catholic. I understand her beliefs, I understand the Catholic churches view on being gay. However, I can't bring myself to be a practicing catholic when the church is against the actions a gay person makes. It infuriates me because my friends Father is completely homophobic. He is supposedly a "forgiving catholic" (his words) and is open to hear everyones story. Then he trash talks and verbally abuses gay people.
I geuss this is more of a rant than my beleifs, but I think my point comes through loud and clear. I support gay marriage, I support it one-thousend percent.
Oh and about the origional couple this was about, CONGRATS TO THEM.
