Gay days

i was wondering if anyone knew if you paid up front for gay days discounted hotel rooms or if you pay a deposit and remainder when you get there? I'm hoping to save Disney gift cards l for next year but it may not help me if you pay through the gay days site and not directly through Disney. Thanks!

When you book your reservation through the Gay Days website they require a 1-night deposit and then you pay the remaining balance directly with the hotel at the end of your stay. We did this last year and it worked great. So great we're doing it again this year!

Does anyone know the cancellation policy? I was attempting to book a stay and it looked like they wanted me to pay in full for both nights and there was no information about a cancellation policy before I entered my credit card info. I won't find out for sure if I can go that weekend until a few weeks before and the rooms will likely be sold out. I was hoping I could reserve now and then cancel a few weeks ahead of time if it turned out that I couldn't go then.

Cancellation Policies vary depending on the event.

The Dapper Days event use to have the same policy as GayDays. However, now the link to room reservations for DD indicates "1 night non-refundable deposit".
I was told the policy for DD changed, due to mass cancellation at the last minute.

For this and past years the Gay Days event has had a one night deposit when you book the reservation. If you cancel with a full weeks notice, you receive a full refund. I just went and reviewed the link to the October event and I don't see anything about NON-Refundable. If you had a concern, you could call the reservation number on Monday and ask.

Reading the Disney reservation page for GD in October, it looks like you'd be fine booking and if you cancelled with 7days, you'd receive a refund. I also read that you only need to pay a 1 night deposit to hold a reservation.

For this particular event, they have a 5 day change and cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so at least 5 days prior to your scheduled arrival. Should you cancel within 5 days of arrival, the deposit of one nights rate + tax is not refundable.

With all that said, I guess they mean 6 days before you show up.

This was spot on. I made the reservation which all the above info popped up and then, only about 2 hours later, had to cancel. I'm disappointed, but will try to make a day visit one of the days. At least it's way over the 5 days and I'll get all my money back.
