Hello,

Done Disney World several times but never over Gay Days. I'm recently engaged and would love to have a Disney experience with the fiancé over that weekend (i.e., honeymoon / wedding). I just have the following questions:

1. Is it better to stay at the host hotel outside the park or stay inside the park?
a. If it's inside the park, which hotels are better suited for that weekend)
2. Without going through Disney Wedding (obviously based on price), does anyone know where we could have our impromptu (secret) wedding ceremony without them finding out?
3. Other than what's scheduled for activities (i.e., certain parks each day and host hotel stuff to do), are there any (gay) specific things to do within the park (i.e., Disney Springs, the Boardwalk area, etc.).

When is Gay Days?

Update: Found the dates!!!

This sounds like super fun

1. It depends on what you can afford. I have never stayed at or visited the host hotel. We always stay on-site with a car so we don't have to depend on Disney transportation. Since we have purchased DVC, we always try to stay near the Magic Kingdom.
2. If you are talking about a park, I am not sure. It might be easier to find an out of the way spot at a resort, like Wilderness Lodge, but that would be better answered by someone else.
3. It is a non sanctioned Disney event, so they don't really do anything other than have rainbowish merchandise available. The afternoon parade at the Magic Kingdom is cool because of all the red watching and at the Country Bear Jamboree there are a lot of bears at each show starting around noon that day. We did that last year and it was a blast. I think there may be a group that does a drinking around the world in EPCOT, but I have not done that.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I am sure there are better sources out there. And the monorail crawl sounds like a blast, but I have never been because of my work schedule. That is on Wednesday evening.

Hope that helps a little!
