gay days convention ticket question!!

Do the convention tickets have to be validated on the day of the convention?? Or can the first day of use be after the actual gay days weekend but before the expiry date? If we will be in Disneyland Oct 11-16th, can we use the gay days tickets even though we aren't there specifically for the gay days weekend? We already bought the tickets, and now I'm getting nervous we won't be able to use them!

The tickets state the validity date is through the 16th. As long as they are activated prior to the 16th, you are fine.
