Gay Days Anaheim hotel discount

I will be going to DL in the first weekend of October during Gay Days week and I saw on the gaydaysanaheim website that they have discounts on all the DLR hotels at low prices. I read on a previous thread: Good or Bad rate of hotel discounts on Gay Days week, would it be appropriate to book a night at the GCH with the gay days discount although I am not attending the gay days week. Or I should just wait for a discount price at the GCH during that week.

I read from your post on the thread Sherry, that it wouldn't be appropriate to use the discount if I am not attending the Gay Days event.

Correct. We had to stop allowing threads that promoted or encouraged DIS-ers who are not attending conferences to take advantage of discount tickets or hotels offered thorugh those conferences or conventions. People who are attending Gay Days or other conferences/conventions know about the discounts. Anyone else who is not involved in them in any way and not planning to attend shouldn't be taking advantage of the discount tickets/hotels.

Disney was calling everyone with GCH hotel bookings for a while last year to check to see if they were attending the homeschool conference because there were many people who suddenly purchased hotel rooms from blocks that belonged to members/attendees of the conference, and I guess they got suspicious.

Now, if actual attendees of any given conference or convention post a thread to discuss details with other attendees, that's a different story. But no "Hey, everyone, here are discount hotel rooms and tickets through this convention in case anyone wants them" posts!

Thank you Sherry for the comments. As you said, I am not even thinking about taking advantage of it. It is wrong and should not be allowed for guests who are not attending those types of conferences.
