gay day at disney

 The rolleye is directed to your perception of Mardi Gras in N.O.

My aunt and great aunt went on gay day unintentionally and said they had a blast! The crowds will most likely be quite large though so that may be something to take into consideration. It's tought enough for us older people to wait in line forever but the kids can sure get antsy.

Im wondering what you mean by your flag decal wont get you into heaven anymore? Thats just silly. I dont think anyone ever thought that. They were just trying to show support!

Waaaaaaaaaayy off topic makaylee and I'm not having an argument with you about what you think I mean by what my signature line says. "Your Flag Decal Won't Get You Into Heaven Anymore" is a song John Prine wrote about Vietnam. The lyrics can be found here:

Decide for yourself what you think it means. I'm married to a disabled Vietnam veteran. The song has specific meaning to us. If that one bothers you, you're bound to scratch your head about what I'm changing my sig line to say next! Peace! :wave2:

Now back to our regularly scheduled discussion :chat: of visiting WDW during GayDays! Which I'm doing by the way and can't wait! :jester: And we're taking all four grandchildren too!

I've been there then and didn't notice any unseemly behavior, just bigger crowds.

Ya' know, this discussion gets really boring year after year. If it bothers you, stay home. If you go, have fun. Simple as that, and as complicated as that.

If you show up, say hi to my partner and I we'll be the ones that you can't recognize on sight.

We don't have kids yet but when we do, I will probably take them to WDW during Gay Days on purpose. Everyone is always talking about how educational WDW can be for their kids as an excuse for pulling them out of school... well, I can't think of a better lesson for a child to learn than "families come in all shapes, sizes, colors and configurations" and "people who are not exactly like you are not big scary ogres, they are just people who like to laugh and have fun just like you do." Maybe if this very difficult, complex and mature concept was explained to children at an early age, there would be a lot less ignorance and hate in the world.

Good for you! I couldn't agree more. I was taught that very lesson at a young age and there's NEVER been any confusement whatsoever. I don't think we give children enough credit.
