Hello All...
I'm fairly new, but maybe a few of you will recognize my name from my many posts and care to read my review.
So, we just returned from 5 nights at the Caribbean Beach Resort....we had a delightful time. To begin we were really happy with the resort. The grounds we very clean (smokers it's really NOT ok to toss butts wherever you please) and well kept. Our room was great, we requested a king when we got to the front desk, which, to the relief of us both was not met with any funny looks.
The pools were also just wonderful, though it would be great if each were accompanied by its own hot tub. Speaking of the hot tub, there is only one for the whole resort because of this I think it would be swell if the lifeguards would remind/encourage children and teenagers to share the tub with adults. We tried to get in on two separate occasions and it was just too full with rowdy kids. Maybe there could be after dark age limit? The one time we did get in we had a GREAT time talking with the other guests!
One last thing about the resort .the food- the pizza was probably the worst we have ever tasted, however the burgers were pretty good; though in both cases the service was abominable!!!
The Parks....we had a GREAT time!!! We were there from the 28th to the 2nd and I'd have to say the crowds were just right. Being from the North East we were taken by the fact that most every ride was introduced in both English and Spanish; though it began to make sense the more time we spent walking around and noticed how many non-English speaking visitors there were.
Mentioning the rides reminds me of something a found TREMEMDOUSLY annoying cell phone use and drawn out conversations while on rides. Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion are my two favorites and I would have really appreciated riding them without all that chatter.
One last thing, for any other gay couples who are thinking of visiting Disney World DON'T WORRY that you'll feel like the only gay people there. By our estimation a good many of the cast members are gay. Many came over to either strike up a conversation or offer a simple wink and a nod
once they realised we were a couple. A funny story about that
on the day that my girlfriend wore her DontAmend.org t-shirt more than three characters whispered how much they liked her shirt while posing for pictures with us.
Cathryn~

I'll have to go read your reports!
) talk but when I was 20 (WAY back in 1984), I heard King Louie growl at me, making 'smooching' sounds, then burst into complete hysterics when a dad told us to "behave ourselves - there are children present".
Never looked at him the same way again. To this day, my heart skips a beat when I see him walk by!
