Just got back from our annual trip for Food and Wine. And I hemmed and hawed about where to eat for our MK day. Last few years have been Diamond Horseshoe...Liberty Tree Tavern.....Crystal Palace....all were awesome. Couldn't snag BOG...even at 180 days(although I got breakfast....which is another post!!!) It's been 6 years since we tried Tony's...and back then I had the braised Lamb shank over polenta and Pistachio Creme Brulee' for dessert which was amazing...but everyone else got Chicken Parm with Spaghetti and it was inedible. So after seeing that there is a new chef and Pete actually saw improvement....I said "what the heck" One word......OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!! It started with our server Cesar...who was awesome. I ordered the fish....which was grilled Swordfish over polenta with grillled vegetables...and my wife loves Gnocchi...but not with pesto and all the veggies....so he made her Gnocchi with a pink cream sauce and a piece of breaded chicken parm on top....and it was so good! I mentioned to Cesar how great everything was and heard that Chef Katie was new and trying to re-vamp the menu.....and 3 mins later Chef Katie was at our table and I mentioned how Pete and the guys were in a few months prior and spoke to you and we told her how awesome dinner was and to keep it up....and BRING IT!!!! And we got a very heartfelt high five !!!!!! I implore you all.....as a former "disser" of Tony's myself.......GIVE IT ANOTHER TRY. Order something a little different and give it another try.....Chef Katie is definately doing something to bring Tony's around!!!!!!

This is good to hear! We have been looking at dining there, but the previous reviews made us stay away. Will try it our next trip down of things stay the same or get even better.

Do they still have the pistachio crème brulee?
I asked Cesar our waiter about the pistachio creme brulee'....he's been there for 6 years and he said it's the most requested item that people want back. He was going to mention it to Chef Katie. I still remember it!!!!

Thanks for your review! After skipping Tony's on our last couple of trips, we are trying it again on our trip next week. It was a favorite of ours several years ago! I remember that creme brûlée, sad to hear its gone.

It is good to see that Tony's is turning it around. I myself have never eaten there, but mostly because of the terrible reviews it always got. It is a great location and should be a great restaurant. Maybe it is finally becoming one!

It is really good to hear this positive review! The one and only time we tried Tony's was waaaaaaay back in 1998, ha !!! We were not overly impressed then, therefore have not booked it since. Maybe its time to reconsider :flower:

We had it the first time we went in 2012 and my husband LOVED it but the rest of the service and food was lacking so we haven't gone back. We keep looking for the crème brulee to come back and then we would venture there again!

Last time for us was 2009, terrible so we won't even consider it Maybe we'll see on our February trip if we want a last minute TS. Thanks for the review.

That is great to hear! We're going in November and was also thinking about ordering the Gnocchi. I'm not a fan of pesto though, so it's good to know I can possibly get it a tomato cream sauce instead!

This post has me reconsidering my ADRs. Might try to fit Tony's in. We love Italian and the menu looks great. We've just never tried because of the reviews.

This just makes me smile. I've never been because of the bad reviews, but Lady and the Tramp is my favorite movie. It has always broken my heart that it didn't represent them better. Hopefully they keep on improving and I can make it in soon. :)

After eating at Tony's just ONCE, i vowed NEVER EVER to return there again. The food really was that bad. Inedible. (and yes we too ordered the chicken parm and spag/meatballs). But after reading your review, I just might reconsider going there again. Not for my upcoming trip, but maybe the next one. Thank you! :)
