Gatwick airport lounge

Hi all

Am looking into an airport lounge at Gatwick - possibly the MyLounge.

Has anybody booked into this one before?
Is it worth it?
Can you see the runway at all?

And, does it suit young children (mine are both 6) and will stay sat still but thinking about drinks... ie. can they get coke, lemonade etc... and what kind of snacks are there?

I haven’t heard great reviews about the MyLounge, but we’ve been to the No1 Lounge at both Gatwick and Heathrow and enjoyed both. You get a small hot dish each, and a selection of pastries, cereal, muffins, etc that you can pick and choose from, presuming you’re going during breakfast hours. There are also magazines and newspapers to read and drinks are on offer (non alcoholic and alcoholic). We’ve never paid full price to get in though - we get free Lounge Club cards from our Amex Gold and also use Dragonpass that we get from our Barclays Travel Pack Plus (both are well worth looking into).
