Gathering reservations

We might book value resort reservations under a Gathering with 10 people. If we do that and later 4 people cancel, do the rest of us lose our reservations since we would no longer be enough people for a Gathering?

My concern is that we must check in on 12/31 since that is when our Magic cruise docs. I am concerned that the resort may be booked by the time the 4 people cancel.

We didn't want to separate the reservations since we are traveling with my mom and she would have atleast one of our kids in her room.

I don't know the answer to your question so consider this mostly a bump because your thread is about to fall off page 1.

But I personally would be very reluctant to book a Grand Gathering until people start to report good experiences with it. The reports I've seen have had many problems with the program. I think I would just book seperate reservations. I'm not sure why there would be a problem having your child listed on your mom's reservation. And even if it ends up being childB in her room instead of childB....or both A&B.....your resort won't be doing bed checks.

You might try a search on Grand Gatherings before you book it that way. Hopefully the wrinkles in the program will be ironed out.

We have eight people and were told that if there is not at least eight you will be cancelled, you have to give them the names of everyone on the day you make the reservation.
