Has anyone gate checked a graco stroller with the infant car seat in it?

Did they also gate check the car seat? Also, can you gate check a 2nd car seak for a second child or do you put that with your luggage?

Our 2 and 1/2 year old is going to sit in a plane seat instead of carseat, but needs a car seat for the ride to the resort. The infant, is a lap infant, who needs the car seat for the ride also. what do you do with the base of the infant car seat?

you can gate check all 3 peieces but you will need to get 3 seperate tickets from the gate agent. I just got back and gate checked 2 strollers for 1 child!!!

Gate check the car seats - don't check them with your other luggage. I would attach the infant seat to the base. Make sure your name is on all pieces that you are gate checking.

We gate checked both the infant seat and the stroller. We did not take the base along since we used ME and the Disney busses. I would attach the infant seat to the base though if you want to take that. Or, if you are comfortable, you can install the infant seat in a car without the base, the instructions are on the side of the seat. Then you wouldn't have to take the base at all.

When we fly we check the carseats with out luggage. We just put them in a carseat bag purchased at Babies R Us. Our stroller has been gate checked on multiple occassions with a stroller bag (also from BRU). Ours is an Evenflo and we have had to remove the handle in order for it to fit in the bag. The bag has protected it as can be seen by the rip in the bag, however the stroller has still seen some damage due to handling. Our Ketly backpack was damaged on one of the last flights that we took and it was gate checked  While we weren't happy for any damage we also aren't too upset as it happens and both have had so much milage put on them that it's ok, they're due for a replacement soon.

She'll have to fold up the stroller, so keeping the car seat in it won't work. We had to do that the last couple of times flying. They want you to put separate tickets on each piece (as someone already said).

You can also ask if you can put the carseat in an empty seat if there is availability.
