Ok, I need some help figuring this out. I'm going to go onto GAT this week to order my meal vouchers (at least that's what I think you call them). Do I have to order separate ones for each day? Also, I need more than the max number of 8 they are allowing me on the site. I think I'm correct in needing 12 adults and 8 kids for our meals at Steakhouse 55, BB, Wine Country and Ariel's Grotto. Then separate breakfast ones for Storytellers. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You can only buy the vouchers for the character meals not BB, Wine Country etc... I would call them to order. Tell them your situation needing more than what you can online and give them the savings code for the service fee. They honored it for me when I called. By doing this and ordering all at same time, you'll have the correct date in the system for your trip and itwill eliminate any potential for issues

I think you might be getting character meals mixed up with meal vouchers.

GAT sells vouchers for character meals, which in your case would include Ariel's Grotto and Storytellers breakfast. Just to make sure you get what you need, I think I'd call GAT instead of try to do it online. They have been extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful when I've dealt with them in the past.

For the other meals, you could buy some meal vouchers along with a Disney vacation package, but there's no real reason to. Unlike WDW, there's no advantage to using vouchers, because you don't get a price break. The other disadvantage is that if you use one for less than the amount on it, you won't get any change back-- i.e. a $20 voucher for a purchase of $18.50, you don't get $1.50 change back. It makes more sense to just use cash or a credit card. Or, if you like to have a certain amount budgeted ahead of time, to purchase a Disney gift card in that amount-- those, at least, you can use for the exact amount of purchase.

Hope that helps! :)

Thanks for the responses. Here is what I saw on the website -
"Ariel's Disney Princess Celebration Character Lunch/Dinner Have a royal time mingling with your favorite Disney Princesses for lunch or dinner at Ariel’s Grotto! Your voucher for the Princess Celebration Character Lunch/Dinner is valid for lunch or dinner at Ariel's Grotto or it may be applied to the cost of any meal at a Resort Table Service restaurant open for lunch or dinner, including Character Dining. Daily operating hours may vary. Applicable Table Service locations include: Ariel's Grotto, Steakhouse 55, Hook's Pointe, Goofy's Kitchen, PCH Grill, Yamabuki, Storyteller's Cafe, Napa Rose, Blue Bayou, Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe, Vineyard Room, and Wine Trattoria. Call 714-781-3463 in advance for reservations. Includes tax and gratuity! "

Am I reading this totally wrong?? Certainly possible. :) I thought from this that the vouchers could be used at Steakhouse 55, BB, etc.

Just read the website. This wasn't offered when we used them this fall. But if you read closely, the voucher price can be used at the other restaurants that are not character meals. It will not cover the entire cost of the meal as it will for the character meals. If you go over the amount paid for the voucher, you will have a balance to pay. Or if you eat less than what you paid, you will not get a refund. With any Disney meal vouchers, they do not refund any unused amount. I would say definately use them for the character meals but not for the other table service restaurants
