First, has anyone had either the Ham and Gruyere Tart or the Creme Brulée Croissant, and if so, how are they? I hear people talk about their cinnamon roll, but not anything else. Also, are they open during early entry so that people can grab breakfast there?

We had the ham and gruyere tart not that long ago and thought it was really good. We split it for bfast along with some cold brews and was a good amount of food for us. We like the cinnamon roll too...but I'm a savory over sweet guy if I'm the one who is chosing

I USED to love the ham and cheese.
Now its disgusting.
Its on a flattened super crusty croissant and its dry af.

Being the same kind of croissant I would NOT get the Creme Burlee.

Cinnamin roll is good and Lefu's Brew is good.

It opens with official park opening.

I generally go around 10am.

Had the crème brûlée croissant and it was delicious… but absolutely huge and very sticky. Make sure you bring plenty of napkins and wet wipes!

Thanks! And I really appreciate your suggestion of wet wipes-something I never think to pack, let alone bring to the parks, and it would be a good idea.

We haven’t had it at Gaston’s, but we had the ham and Gruyère on a baguette at the France Pavilion this winter and we really liked it. We just wished we had a little mustard. Idk about the croissant. We do love the cinnamon bun at Gaston’s but it’s huge. It always seems to be closed when we’ve gone by the last several times.

The brulee croissant is very good. But.. (and this is probably just a me thing) I thought there was a bit too much filling. I had to squeeze some out.

We had the ham and gruyere tart and thought it was pretty good, actually! The cheese is more of a creamy consistency and it almost had too much of it for my personal liking. It made it rich, so sharing it was perfect. It was super fresh and the pastry was fresh, delicate and delightful. Something I wouldn't expect from a CS at the MK!

I'm so glad you've said that about the cinnamon roll, was worried it was just me! The inner swirl of the cinnamon roll was nice and sweet and sticky, but I totally agree that the rest was dry and not enjoyable. I actually left some. I've made better cinnamon rolls myself! I really regretted not trying the creme brulee croissant instead.

LeFou's brew was nice though, albeit a bit cold for first thing in the morning

Products can vary day to day depending on who makes them and ingredients, etc. They shouldn’t, but they do.

Same.. we have had both the ham and gruyere and creme brulee both great! Esp since MK has such bad food it is great that they have something good. And agree the cinnamon roll was such a disappointment... so dry.. luckily my son still liked it but we are not buying again.

Well, I saw a picture of the ham and gruyere-it looked a little small from what I saw, and not really like a quiche, so I'm not sure now. But the creme brûlée croissant still sounds very interesting.

We also had the tart, croissant, and cinnamon roll last year - the cinnamon roll was perfectly fine but the tart and croissant were so good! We had also hoped to go during Early Entry but they were not open during that time (and it looks like it is still that way).

Thanks for pointing me to that blog. First, because he gave the creme brûlée croissant such a great review. But also, I wasn't familiar with the website, and enjoyed reading some of his other reviews.

1000% (one thousand) agree with this!

My DD21 and I were excited to try the cinnamon roll and it was a big thumbs down . Highly disappointed! I’m not one to give Disney a on things, but this definitely deserves it.

For those that think it’s like Cinnabon, it is not .

Oh Sandy! DW is a cinnamon roll aficionado, she just bought the Gaston's version last week. She brought it home*, not sure if she's had yet but she previously enjoyed it. I did see that tart thing and wished I hadn't already eaten lunch**

* DVC--we buy park treats, bring tupperware type containers to the parks, refrigerate them in the villa, and take them home. We usually freeze the treats and she enjoys the later.

** My lunch that day was the corndog from Sleepy Hollow and it was FANTASTIC! I just wish I'd have had room for the tart.

@Micca - I wonder if it would be better warmed up in the microwave. We had it around 7pm at night, so maybe they were dried out because it was at night and not earlier in the day . All I know is that it was super dry and the extra icing we got to put on it was like spreading really thick glue. Maybe next trip we should try it again the morning.

I love your idea of taking storage containers into the park. If we ever drive, instead of fly, I’ll have to remember to do this

I think we bought the cinnamon roll around 3pm, it looked fantastic. It went immediately to the container, and to the fridge in our room, got it home and it's in the freezer. DW typically microwaves the pastries--very judiciously. They can go from "This tastes almost fresh" to some weird, chewy texture in a just a few seconds.
