That's depressing, but I also love the idea of the "Be Our Guest" restaurant as well, so I'm not too upset. There will be no Villains-themed restaurant. The "Be Our Guest" TS location will have performances in three different dining rooms. Gastons is a CS that won't have characters at all. They did say they would spice things up at the meet-and-greets with the villains of the princesses (something for the boys, they said), but there will not be a TS restaurant dedicated to villains the way 1900 PF used to have.

). The artist's conception of the "Be Our Guest" restaurant looks AWESOME! Right in the Beast's ballroom!! I cannot WAIT!Oh it just must be a character restaurant!!! How cool would that be! I know that sometimes it can scare young ones, but if done right how awesome!
While it would be cool to have Gaston and LaFou there (I might go if they were) based on the info out so far I wouldn't count on any characters at Gaston's.
A tavern with no beer really annoys me though.
So it definitely won't serve beer? Seems pretty silly to call it a tavern and nowt serve beer... I'm with you on that one.
Been waiting for this day. Dw and I will be making our ADR for the new Villian and the other restaurant.

There's already one tavern (Liberty Tree) in the MK. Two dry taverns doesn't seem any sillier an idea than one.
Plus Gaston himself, assuming he'd have real muscles.

No alcohol whatsoever is served in the Magic Kingdom (except at special events). I seriously doubt that's going to be changed as it's always been the rule.
It's a tavern in the movie, they're just sticking to the film's theme.
