Gasparilla's closing for refurb Oct 17 - mid Dec

Here are the alternatives they are setting up when it is closed:

Mizner's Lounge will offer a selection of grab 'n' go meals available for purchase. Coffee will be available at 6:00am and hot breakfast at 7:00am. This location will close at 12:00am

· Beaches Pool Bar & Grill will offer coffee beginning at 6:00am and hot breakfast beginning at 7:00am.

· A lounge offering will be available at Citricos Rotunda and Bar.

· Grand Floridian Café will offer a To Go menu.

This still sucks, because I was given 5 days notice before my trip and it wasn't even from Disney!!!! I just happened to have run across it on the Dis boards. I canceled my dinner reservation at The Plaza in exchange for Gasparilla...If I had known Gasparilla was going to undergo a refurb, I would have canceled my stay at GF and booked at the Poly or CR...Oh well, too late now...At least I'm going to WDW!!!!

Will Mizner's still be offering their normal bar menu in the evenings?

Can anyone report back about take out from GF Cafe, is it from the normal menu? We check in for 9 nights the week of Thanksgiving. I am not quite sure how and where we will sit, etc. We have 2.5 resort days scheduled, 2 of which have ADRs, one the Pirate Adventure Cruise, and we were planning on just taking it easy and eating quick service a few times over those days.

I have a theme park view room and am concerned about hiking to the Beach Pool for coffee and breakfast in the morning. I'm wondering if I should switch room types so we can be a little more centrally located.
