Gasp! OKW at 7 mos-1day? Update-10/30

Oh, my gosh, I'm in a panic here. Just looked at the calendar (at 9:00 at nite here) and today was the 7 mos mark to reserve for next May at OKW. So now I have to call tomorrow. So I can sleep tonight-do you think I'll get a 1 BR at OKW during the F&G Festival next May? The specific week we want is 5/21-5/28. Please tell me again that OKW isn't too hard to book, usually not full 7 mos out.

Don't worry! My guess is that you'll get it on the first call tomorrow. Worst case, a week or two on the wait list.

I've booked early to mid May 1 BR at OKW the past 5 years with no problem at 7 months. Last year I didn't do it until the end of October. I don't think you'll have a problem.

You will be fine - if not, go on the wait list and I bet you $100 you get it no problem. I am on wait list for this Xmas and in one month I started a 10 day reservation with only two days available and just today got day seven. Only three more days to get. This is one of the busiest weeks of the year and my wait list is coming together. I am really worried about NYE though. You will be fine. Call in the AM and post here and let us know. I am really not looking for the $100 - only trying to make you feel better!!!!

I know that they had plenty of studio availability, because I just booked BCV for May 23-28. I asked about all the onsite resorts, and every onsite DVC had availability for a studio except Boardwalk standard, and even at that, some of the days in the standard view were available, just not all 5. My guess is that the 1 beds should be available without too much problem. Go to bed, and call 1st thing tomorrow, I think it will be just fine!

Whew, thanks everyone! I called MS first thing this morning-no trouble booking it. However, we were also interested in May 22 at SSR, and the CM wasn't too confident about that. SSR won't be available for non-member booking until 2/4, and at opening (5/17) they'll only have one building open, so she said availability would be very limited. But if we don't get that, that's OK, the important thing was to get OKW for the week. If we have to sleep on a park bench Sat. night, so be it.
