I called yesterday to book a standard room at the Boardwalk for 10/31 - 11/6. I was told the only thing available was concierge. I had them check the Beach Club again only concierge and the Yacht Club had water view only. I'm amazed!!! I have never seen 3 hotels this booked 5 months out. The CRO agent did check different specials that they had saying that a certian number of rooms will be held out for each special. But the only special running at that time is the 5 for 7 day package and I have my annual pass. Could it be that they are holding rooms back for Fall specials or are those hotels booked up?

I did get the Poly and even though I wanted to stay in the Epcot area im happy with the Poly, I'm just worried about how crowded the parks might be if it is true that the Epcot hotels are booked up. (Checked the Contemporary too. No standard rooms were available)

Oh well no matter the crowds we will enjoy ourselves. We always make the best of it. :sunny:

PS I checked Expedia and they didn’t have any Epoct area hotels showing availability. Travelocity did have standard at the Beach Club and a studio at the Boardwalk and Beach Club Villas. I didn't want to book that though since im hoping Annual pass rates will come out and I can add that to my reservations.

That really stinks! I was hoping to stay there too in Nov. I guess it's for the f&W festival. I hope they have blocks of rooms saved for when they release fall AP rates, although, why would they not book rooms for full price when they can? It doesn't make sense. It's not even peak season. I don't know what to do! Help! I wonder if the Dolphin is booked as well - probably not.

I think they also block some rooms for AAA club.

you might see tomorrow if a DVC member can get you a studio at either the BCV or BWV.

but this is a pretty popular time with DVC member too - because of the wine and food festavial.

Yes both the Swan and Dolphin are booked for my dates. I called to use that as a back up incase AP rates were not available but was told they are fully booked.

I did have the agent check the AAA rate and again nothing was available. I was told by one CRO agent that no rooms are held back that if its not in the system its not available and that the only way it would become available is if someone cancled.

okay then it might for conventions - and they could be released if less people are coming than are planned for ----

all the Epcot resorts are also conventions resorts

That's Super Soap weekend time, "Jersey Week" and the Epcot Food Festival time....we're at WL.

I can tell you that my ex-DH worked for Chrysler and we went to DW in Nov of 1995..about 500 managers and family..they reserved large lots of room in the YC and BC.. Maybe a big convention is coming to town

October is a huge month for Disney hotels with conventions, Golf Tournament, Halloween party, Food and Wine at Epcot, it is not unusual for the Epcot resorts to sell out months in advance.

Also the Yacht Club is doing rehab to the siding throughout the year and some rooms will be down for that and not in the inventory.

Super Soap isn't till the 13th & 14th this year.

But maybe it is the food and wine, everyone loves staying at epcot hotels when that is going on!

I don't buy the "sold out" story. Last year, we went May 31 - June 6th. All I kept reading on the boards was that the rooms were sold out. Everyone was so upset that the parks would be crowded. And then AP rates came out and, what do you know, rooms were available. I got my AP rate at CR. And the parks did not seem as crowded as I thought they would be.

Time will tell.

I noticed the same thing last year at November when I was trying to book a room. When I got down there, most of the people I talked to were there for a convention, so I think that is a big factor.

they might have rooms at rack rate, just sold out for discounted rooms. even the BW Inn standard and water view rooms are sold out, from mid Oct - late Nov.
keep trying though, if that is where you want to stay, you never know when availability may pop up!!

It's the Food & Wine Fest. It gets bigger every year. The DVC is just about full for that time, too. We've had our ressies in since January.

Could it also be that just the night of the 31st is not available, which might result in a CM telling you it's not available at all? It has been my past experience that some CMs will just say "all booked" even though the majority of my days were open, with only the first day or 2 not being available. Have you tried dropping the 31st and just booking the remaining days? Personally, I would book what you can now, and then keep calling to check the other days you need. I've always been able to get what I'm looking for this way....the days almost always come available eventually (with persistence). TIP: If you get a patient CM, they might look at your trip dates day by day and tell you exactly which dates are causing the problem.

I was trying for dates in Nov concierge at the Poly. I wanted to book with the 7 for 5 deal and then switch to AP's but I couldn't find any concierge rooms (GF, Poly, BWI...). I ended up switching to October which turnes out to be better for us now and I also now have AAA rather than package because I really want AP's and to go again next year. I was surprised how difficult is was to get Nov. dates-I was thinking 11/13 to 11/20. I had them try all sorts of other dates too thinking it was just Veteran's Day Weekend but I could only get GV non concierge at Poly.

I would keep calling. Best of Luck!

We wanted to go in November also but ended up booking October-even then we could get concierge at BWI-no regular rooms-No AAA rooms available either. YC CL was available for both Oct and Nov dates but no regular or AAA rooms either. Tried the Dolphin and could get AAA regular rooms but with the special we figured we'd spend the extra $ and stay BWI concierge. F&W is now 45 days right?

I originally had 2 sets of dates I wanted one was 9/25 - 10/2 or 10/16 - 10/23. I was getting the 7 for 5 deal and wanted to stay at the CR tower room. I decided out of those dates I was going to go with the sept one b/c it was value season and would have been cheaper. SO I went on disneys website to book it and there was no rooms left. I got scared but thankfully the later date in Oct was available so I just booked it b/c I didn't want to miss out. So I'm going in Oct :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce:

Everything looks pretty busy during November. Maybe they're holding rooms for later. Maybe the 5 + 2 is bringing in more people than usual.

I just called for Swan or Dolphin for 11/4-11/11. They had availability for $275 a night, but no AP rooms available. It seems you can only get a rack rate around that time. She told me to keep calling.

As far as being "sold out," I recently wanted to add a day onto my reservations at CR and the first time I called, the CM told me there was no availability, at any rate, at CR for my time period. I called back about two hours later and a different CM easily and quickly added the extra day to my reservation and I even asked him to send me a confirmation because I was so skeptical. He went on to tell me after further conversation that there were "plenty of rooms available, so it is no problem." Weird, huh? I guess in just two hours a ton of rooms were released from being on hold or else a major convention was cancelled (or else the first CM was mistaken...?) I guess my point is that it is a good idea to keep calling and checking.
